      I have curly unruly hair so up in a pony it goes most of the time. If not, I usually end up looking like some sort of Amazon warrior or Tarzan woman who has been living in the jungle for a few years...

      Yeah they are, especially those ones that go straight out from the back of the head a little way before hanging down so there is a gap between the ponytail and the head/neck.

      That being said.... I think there is a stylish pony tail or a frumpy butt pony tail. I like a side pony or a messy bun, with a nice deep side part or twisted back/teased bangs. You can wear your hair up and still look like you put some dang effort into yourself.

      There are things we like we have no explanation for how attractive they are to us, ponytails are one, such as boobs, it's not about 'reasoning' what we like, or deciding we want to like them, it's something in our genes I guess, but really, it's not something we decide.

      And of course, some others will like something else better.
