NEED HELP WITH WORKING OUT HOW MANY CALORIES I NEED..

HI all,


I'm slightly confused with all the numbers etc

I worked out my BMR (1450) .

And i have come to the conclusion that i must eat 1600 cals a day and burn off 500 through exercise to lose weight..

Am i right?

    You'll need to NET at least your BMR. So if you were to do 500 cals of exercise, you'd need to eat at least 1950cals.

    Since the BMR that you arrive at by standardized calculations is an average, not your specific BMR, I think you should concern yourself mainly with NEVER dropping under 1200 calories net per day.
