So most people say you should eat like 5-6 small meals a day right?
Well I usually eat 3 meals that I eat that keep me full right after.
I still stay under my calorie goals... I just dont eat like every 3 hours.
I'll eat a big breakfast at 5:30-6:30 am
then lunch at around 1.
Then dinner at around 6.
is this ok? does it matter when you put in your calories?

I say do what works for you. Some say that the more frequent smaller meals help you feel fuller and keep your metabolism going throughout the day, but personally I like keeping it to 3 regular meals, eaten at consistant times. Breakfast for me is usually something pretty small and simple at around 8:30am, like a PB sandwich or oatmeal. Lunch is also something pretty light, salad or a sandwich or some leftovers from the night before and a piece of fruit or something. Dinner is always my biggest meal with the most calories, but I always have enough of an allowance left. It works for me. I don't feel too hungry throughout the day. I enjoy my food when I do eat. I sometimes fit in an afternoon snack if I do get hungry. All my portions are normal amounts.0

It doesn't matter even a little bit. Do what works for you.0

I seldom eat breakfast. Just can't face food early in the morning.
Usually just a snack or light lunch.
Dinner is generally my most calorie-heavy meal.
I'm doing OK.
If it works for you, don't worry about it.0 -
Recent thinking and research points to it mattering very little at all.0

I don't think it matters; as long as you eat a big healthy breakfast0

Meal timing is irrelevant to weight control, do whatever suits you best.0

There is no set way to diet, except avoid FADS, watch calories, exercise and make your output greater then your input.
Everyone has an opinion and every one has different dietary needs.

There has been recent research that people who eat later in the day have more difficultly losing weight. However, they also fond people who eat later tend to skip breakfast, and the researchers have postualated that is the issue, eating breakfast starts the metabolism. Given you are eating breakfast, your meal schedule probably is not an issue, eat whenever you want.
The 6 meal a day thing is more about comfort than anything else.0 -
I used to buy into the whole "Eat small meals more often". I found I was thinking about food all the time. I started eating 3 meals/day (sometimes need a snack if I exercise late afternoon), and found I wasn't obsessing about food all the time.
Some do better with more frequent, small meals, so I guess we each need to find what works best. Even if it was better to eat more often, I would not because in the long run, 3 substantial meals works best for me.0 -
It doesn't matter at all. The best is to just eat meals the way you like so you are not hungry. I eat 4-5 meals now because before I would starve all afternoon and gorge on dinner. I eat three meals with a snack or two so I don't get ravenous. Do what works for you!0
