hi can anyone recommend a good workout DVD for men that's only about 20-30 minutes long? I've been using Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and getting really good results . this has motivated my hubby to want to work out as well, but he works shift work and
doesn't always have a lot of time .

I'm doing 30DS, I plan to move on to SiX Weeks, Six Pack after this. I am currently also doing the 100 press up, 200 sit up and 200 squat challenges.

If you are looking for something that's limited to only 20-30 minutes long you'll be hard pressed to find something aimed at men. Most workouts aimed at men tend to be about an hour, give or take, because the market catering to men needs a different kind of image. Men who buy into this whole fitness image are sold on the image of a guy who is a glutton for punishment who pushes longer, harder, faster than anyone else. That's the "image" they're trying to sell.

That's not to say you won't find any. You just won't find them from the likes of Beachbody or anything like that. Now if your hubbie is willing to expand up to about 45 minutes per workout then I have some GREAT suggestions.

The best of which IMO is GSP Rushfit. The workouts themselves are 45 minutes long (the actual workout is only 30 minutes, the rest is just warmup and cooldown).

Another good option is to youtube the Spartacus Workout by Men's Health Magazine.

He will need some dumbbells for these workouts that range in weight from 7.5 to 20-25 lbs (depending on fitness level). Spartacus in particular is more for higher fitness levels and there isn't a whole lot you can do to modify so stick with Rushfit otherwise.

Google Men's Health Spartacus workout. But he could still just do that DVD, with heavier weights, really...

Ha, actually, most of the moves are the same :/

I do a few that are gender neutral. I love all the Biggest Loser workouts(20-50 min) and Bob Harper's Beginners Weight Loss Transformation (45 min).
