Hard Boiled Eggs.

  • Speaking of hard boiled eggs . . . I love them. I usually eat them plain or very lightly salted. Does anyone here use the Eggies product to make theirs? My boyfriend got them for me. I thought the idea of adding other seasonings, which would reduce adding salt, and cooking it right into the hard boiled egg would be a great idea. Anyone use it?

plain... but love them almost any way.
  • Cut in half, put yokes in a bowl with mustard, pepper, granulated garlic and a little sweet relish. Mix well and spoon back to yolk cavity.....top with paprika or for spicy....ground red pepper...

Hard boiled eggs are the perfect quick food for me. I boil up a dozen and then keep 'em in the fridge right in the carton to grab'n'go as I need. Salt and pepper at my desk at work. Great for breakfast. Even have lowfat mayo in fridge at work if I wanna make egg salad for lunch.

Drizzled with sesame oil and then grind some salt/seasonings onto them. A few drops hot chili oil or tabasco is nice on them.

Or lately to use up avocado I've been mixing the yolk of one large boiled egg with a quarter avocado.. mash lightly with a fork and spoon it back into the whites, season to taste.

Usually plain, 2 bites and done. Lately been adding them chopped up to half a mashed up avacado, a little lime juice and some sriacha. Might have to add mustard now!

Hmm I haven't had any lately, but have done this...have 'mock deviled eggs'. One hard boiled egg split in half. I tablespoon on each side of the the Trader Joe's brand Lowfat Spinach & Kale Yogurt Dip, some Fat Free Feta Cheese on top of that, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Yum.

Here's a pic of it (hope it works):

No seasoning or dressing and I prefer them room temperature. I also like to peel them myself by throwing it at something :)

2 eggs + 2 whites + 1/2 Tbsp each mayo and mustard + pepper on toast , sometimes with turkey bacon and sometimes with shredded lettuce instead of toast.
  • I dehydrate my own celery and tomatoes.. great for sprinkling over the egg whites ( love yolks just not when they are hard boiled).

I scoop out the yolk and mix it with honey mustard and put it back in the white and then sprinkle with cracked pepper.
  • I mush them up, add a little mayo (light of course) and little mustard and use it as a dip for my veggies...fill a celery stalk with it....yummy!!!

Little to no salt but always with black pepper.

    Me too.

I had been eating one each morning, but have changed up making mini-omelets with onion and belle pepper. Cook in a muffin pan. Add a little hot sauce if desired. A welcome change-up to a boiled egg every morning.

I usually scoop the yolks out and eat them plain. I sometimes will toss the whites into a salad (did that tonight for dinner). I don't add salt because I get enough sodium elsewhere (from low fat cheese in the salad or the salad dressing)
