I did my 4th day of 30 day shred yesterday (took Sunday as a rest day
but still walked the dog).
Am a bit upset today as have put on 2lbs!
I am one of these people that is obsessed with the
scales and I need to lose 10lbs in 5 weeks ready
for my hols so this wait gain has really depressed me :-((

It's most probably just water retention in the muscles from starting a new workout routine, give it a bit of time! The shred is really good! But measure yourself, it takes off more inches then pounds.

I'm on my final week of the 30DS and have only lost about 2lbs, but ive lost a fair few inches especially on my waist!Go measure yourself and take some pictures, i'm sure you will be surprised with yourself!

    Good Luck :-D xx

Hang in there. With the shred, its all about the tape measure results and not so much the scale. Take your mesurements if you haven't already done so and just keep working at it. All your hard work will pay off in week 4 when you measure yourself again!

    Good luck!

You are only 4 days in. This is a new workout, and your muscles are no doubt retaining water while you heal.

Don't let the scale rule your life. The scale is a liar.

Keep at it and take measurements at the end, you won't be disappointed.

As all the others have said, it's just water retention from using muscles you haven't used in a while! You're not 'building muscle' but the scale doesn't tell the truth at the beginning of a new plan - it's no reflection on the work you've been doing. Make sure you're not doing the Shred on a hard floor or in bare feet as it is bad for the knees. Stick with it, don't get hung up on what you weigh, you will start to tone, fit into your clothes better/look better and that's what counts!

keep a tit almost everyone Gaines weight with the shred b/c your muscles are repairing themselves. It's only water retention. I have done it 3 times and ripped in 30 3 times and each time i always gain 3-4 lbs and then it does come off in time.
