Question about Polar H7 (AKA Polar Beat)!! Help Plz!

Anyone out thereu se one of these? I really want an HRM and want to have access to my data via an app and my PC so thought this one would be ideal for me (I have the Iphone5). My only question is this:

DO you have to have your phone with you at all times to save your data or can you go out and exercise and then transfer the data when you are done? There are some activities that I would like to monitor but don't neessarily want to carry my phone with me at all times. I don't care too much that I wouldnt get a visual display of my HR/calories burnt etc... on the spot, as long as I can see how I did afterwards...

Hope someone out there can answer me cause I've been tryign to figure this out fora while and can't seem to find anything that mentions anythign abuot this.

Thanks!

Have to have it with you. The H7 itself doesn't actually store/collect anything; it just monitors and sends it to the PolarBeat (or RunKeeper, or some others) app which stores/collects/analyzes it. If you don't want to have your iPhone on you, the only other alternative I can think of is to set it down somewhere near your (close enough to not lose BT connection) or buy a Polar watch that works with the H7 (there are several).
