confused!!! mfp telling me to eat less then my bmr

if im suppose to eat more then my bmr to survive in a coma etc not doing anything, how come my fitness pal is telling me to eat less then my bmr??
I was told to eat a bit lower then my tdee?someone please help?

So change your settings. You're in charge of your body - not MFP.0

yeah i know, but, i was worried cause alot of people are telling me to not eat lower and other webistes, and my fitness pal saying you need to eat your bmr to function, so then when you calculate your goals why does it giveyou the lower number.0

Because the site is a piece of technology... it calculates how many calories for your goal to be based on a math equation based on what you told it you wanted to lose.0

Stay between those two numbers and closer to your TDEE. Many people aim for 20% less than than their TDEE. Like the above person says, re-adjust MFP manually based on info in this calculator.0 -
MFP does math. It's a tool. You have to supply the common sense. MFP won't let you set it below 1200 just to cover their *kitten* for legal reasons.0
