Best Video Workout (Insanity, 30Day...) for Semi-Beginner?

As someone who has not yet domne one of these, what would you recommend as the best?I'm 37, 60 pounds overweight and not in the best physical shape, but have been steadily doing an hour of intense cardio each day for the past 3 weeks, and notice that my endurance has drastically improved already.

90X looks like it requires a minimum level of fitness that I do not yet have. But I wondered about the others. I've been discussing Turbofire with another member, which sounds interesting as it has an HIIT component to it.

Thoughts? I want to (like most oeverweight folks, I think!) want to lose weight, while preserving as much muscle as possible! Not trying to rapidly lose weight, but rather focus on doing it healthily.

So, I have not done a whole lot of videos but I have done a semi-beginner one and a semi-extreme one so I have experienced the two. I actually started my routine with Insanity. I would not recommend doing this. It is a great video if you don't have any body issues or injuries, but I recommend working up to it (I was really sore and burned myself out with it because I was not ready). I am currently doing 30DS and I really like it. I feel that it is one that a beginner can handle. (I was a beginner and it was difficult but not impossible). I have done levels one and two of 30DS and find myself wanting to put in Insanity on some days for something a little more intense. In other words, if you are interested in these two, I would recommend starting with 30DS and possibly trying out Insanity after. I have also heard great things about P90X, but like you said, I think it is another that should be worked up to. If you try 30DS and like Jillian, I would look into some of her other DVDs.
