too much sugar?

so i have been looking at my sugar intake. mfp says i can have 35 grams of sugar a day which is about 3 tablespoons. looking at the last 30 days there isnt one day that i wasnt way over that goal...it's been most of the time over 50 g. so basically i can have 3 and i have 6 or 7. on the other hand i have done really well with staying under my calorie goal. so my question is...what are the effects of this extra sugar?

  • I'm in the same boat! 35g seems so unrealistic, but it could be because I'm just starting out.
  • I don't know what kinds of sugars you are eating. But, if you are getting most of those sugars from fruit or natural sources I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    I do find that the figures MFP automatically inserts are incorrect and you need to do a little research on what you should be having for your body.
