I'm not especially tall, but everyone guesses I'm between 130-150. They are shocked when I say I am more than that. It's weird cause although I do see change, I still feel huge when I look in the mirror.

People never believe me when I tell them I weigh around 140. I had a nurse try to weigh me last week and couldn't figure out why it was saying that I was more than 125.

Thanks for the compliment...but really? I'm not that tiny. My side view might look like it, but there's a reason why I don't post front shots on MFP, lol.

Oh a club I can join!!
I weigh 160lbs at 5'3" but fit a UK 12 really comfortably. My husbands friend was @rsing around at New Year and picked me up. He put me down pretty sharpish saying 'JESUS! Have you got rocks in your pockets?!?'

Oh man, I hear you on this one!

I don't know why I do this, but I let people guess my size. They usually pick a size or two lower than I really am. I either hide it well, or they're just being nice.

Oh, and I get told ALL THE TIME that I look like a teacher. I'm not a teacher.

I get surprised looks when I tell people I'm a Speech Pathologist. It's like they look at me and think, "She's smarter than she looks."

I'm 6'3 and of large frame. At my heaviest people, including myself, estimated I was 350-360 lbs at the most. They were shocked to find out I was nearly 500 lbs. I never got an exact starting weight. Doctor weighed me on different scales using counter weights to assist and he estimates that I was between 470-485 lbs. Also right now, I am just barely under 300 at the moment at 299.5. People are still shocked. The height and frame really throws people off.

People think I weigh less then I do and they like to tell me that I need to eat and I like to tell them to f..k off. I'm 5'3 and weigh 127.

Anyway, the thing I am wondering is...why are people guessing people's weights? I never encounter people asking my weight or trying to guess it. I also can't imagine I would ever start a conversation like that.
    .

    Same here, sounds rather odd!!
