Hi! New to the board...

Here is my story... I lost my mom and my reproductive parts within 2 months so between the instant menopause and grief/stress I put on 25 pounds. I already needed to lose 25 when that happened. Being the primary caretaker for my housebound dad , working full time and buying a repo house that needs tons of work I put myself last. After 3 years of that I decided to be selfish and take some time for me! So here I am. I asked for a gym membership for Christmas so I can swim regularly, I have cartilage degeneration so that's the best for me, and I started seriously being aware of what I am eating. The going is slow and my clothes are still too tight but I am trying harder than I have in years. Since I have had a flabby gut since giving birth 30 years ago (some women's skin just doesn't stretch!) and menopause has worsened the situation I have decided to reward myself with a tummy tuck when I reach my weight goal. From what I hear about weight loss and boobs I might plan on returning them to their original upright position too! lol Thanks for listening! I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress on this great journey we have chosen to take.
