    Hello there!!

Thanks so much for the encouragement, but i am going to stop. :frown: It's just that I went for a 40 min. bike ride today and it was awesome. I felt so good and so excited that I wanted to go again. I will go again tomorrow and that inspires me. I just don't feel that way with the 30 day shred. I really need to like what I am doing or I will just stop all together and I don't want to stop. I have already lost 13lbs. and I want to keep going. I'm really afraid I'll give up if I continue with the shred. I have to give myself a break because I am excercising again after a very longtime of doing nothing, so my body is not very strong but my will is getting stronger but i don't think it's quite there yet. I will keep posting my workouts everyday no matter what they are and I would appreciate it if you guys could continue giving me encouragement. That would be awesome!! I just don't want to lose this connection!!

So that's where I stand!!! Please don't think I am a quitter because I don't feel that way. I feel that this is the best thing for me right now. I have to do what makes me stronger not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well.

Thanks again to all of you and I will continue to post!!

    Julie :ohwell:

AGH! Day 1 of Level 2. It killed me! When Jillian said, "I want you to feel like you're going to die." I thought, "I do, and I want you to, too!" and this will require a better sports bra, and Jillian could stand to do the same.
Anyone else with me? Should I start another post?
Does anyone use a monitor? If so, let me know if your first day on Level 2 burned more calories, I am curious.

So I've decided after I'm done the 30DS I'm going to take a few days off before doing it again and then I'm going to move on to P90. :) The idea of being toned is nice but I want more then that! Besides, I checked out P90 and it's not too different from what I was doing at the gym when I used to go.

Anyway, I haven't tackled Level 2, I'm just going to stick to 1.

I did it, but it sucked. I am not going to try to work out after a few drinks, ever again...

): I think they say to drink at least a full hour before a workout and then just small amounts as needed during working out? But that could just be the little system I found works for me more then what 'they' suggested. haha.

Sorry! But at least you did it!

Still haven't found my HRM watch and I had to get up early to take my daughter to emerg (pinkeye...ugh!) so no Shred for me today. Think I'll give my muscles a rest day today. My arms are feeling it since I upped my weights to 8 lbs.

I did manage day 3 of Level 2. I bought some 5 lb weights but I am still using 3 lbs and that is bad enough.

Day 4 for of Level 2 (and that is the 14 days straight for me!). I follow Anita half the time, I think I am getting a little better. My push ups still don't look good. I think she's sneaking in some extra minute somewhere, though, the dvd says 27 minutes at cool down so I am crediting 25 minutes of circuit training on MFP.

Wow you guys sound like you are doing great. I have been riding my bike and loving every minute of it. I actually met my exercise goal for the week and I am so happy. I feel like I accomplished something I set out to do and it feels great.

    I'm still with you guys!!!

Day 15 (level 2, 5th day) and I still have a hard time not resting on the 2nd and 3rd "circuit". I don't get sore the day after though, and I haven't for awhile now. I don't know if I am not pushing myself hard enough? what about anyone else? still getting muscle soreness the day after?

I had to stop. ): Injured my back. As soon as it's better I'll start again but this time with the goal of building up enough muscle to move onto P90! Lofty goals.... but I've decided I want to push myself, really REALLY... and sometime next year I hope to be ready for P90X... partly because just ONCE in my life I'd LOVE to have muscles!!!

Anyway, that's my sad update. ): Hurt backs are hell, especially when you work on your feet!

    Started Level 1 today!

I was thinking - ohhh this isn't so bad - til she got to the last circuit with the side lunges and arm lifts. OUCH. Ouch. Arms were burning, could barely hold them up.

Other than that it was good. It's simple and easy to follow - no fancy moves - and it's fast! Jillian is actually way less annoying than Tony Horton (of P90/P90X). In a few days, though, I'll probably mute it and put on my iPod.

I can't believe Day 6 of Level 2 and it isn't getting any easier, I have to rest during all strength, most cardio, but abs feel like resting because I must not be doing it right!

oh! just me for the last 24 hours. I finished day 7 of level 2, and that's 17 days straight for me. I think I will continue Level 2 through Sunday because we are going to San Diego and I wrote down the routine, figure I can do it at the hotel gym.
  • I haven't forgotten about you guys! I have been tracking my food on this site but for some reason forgot to come on to the msg boards and check in - I've been doing it MOST days ( I did miss a day last week and didnt' do it today - but I did go for a walk) I will do it tomorrow though, I promise! Hope everyone is doing well, looks like everyone is still sticking with it as best we can! great job :-)

I am still here and still going, this will be day two of level 3 once I get it done. Anyone else on level 3? any plans after the 30-day shred. I am thinking of trying the five-factor fitness. There are some on-demand and they alternate muscle groups, and it's five times a week which is very manageable.
Not sure about the five-factor diet, it sounds a little harder to stick to, it's like five meals a day. But there is one cheat day each week.
