Had to convert, but 28 lbs in 3 months can be done but might not be easy, depending on how your body reacts.
I'd increase the exercise making sure to include cardio and strength training.0 -
Thanks for the advice!0

We are similar in height and weight. I have lost 8 lbs in 5 weeks. I net about 1100-1200 cals a day. I work out every day. 4 days a week I hike an hr and a half which burns 600+ cals, 3 days a week I do the treadmill or 30dayshred for 30 mins and burn about 300 cals, and I walk my dogs a few times a week for 30 mins.
I did all this and lost about 1.5 lbs a week. So I will lose about 18-20 lbs in 3 months.0 -

Theoretical calculations don't work out usually. I should have had a 6 pack by the summer. Still have 40lbs or so to go. With those low numbers you will more than likely stall out.
Yeah I understand that as you get closer to goal you lose less, so this is a general "about 18-20 lbs", it might be a few lbs less or it could be a few lbs more, won't know till I get there! So far so good!0 -

Honestly, I would just shoot for a 2 pound a week loss. However, to reach your 24 pounds loss you are going to have to be prefect with your eating. Make sure you weigh and measure everything that goes in your mouth. I would also focus on drinking A LOT of water (like a gallon) each day, limit your fat intake, but get plenty of fiber and protein so you stay full. Also, if you do weight lifting, it will help you tighten up and burn more calories at rest. However, be aware that lifting might keep the scale from dropping because you will be replacing fat with muscle, but you will still look thinner. But, even with all of that, because of your starting weight you might not see the scale move as quickly as someone with a lot of weight to lose.0 -

Thanks for the advice, yeh the only way im going to get anywhere near this goal is by being totally strict, fingers crossed0 -
I'm sorry, but I dont think your target is realistic. It works out to nearly 3lbs a week and gives no room for the inevitable variation in weight loss. More fundamentally, you dont mention your height (or I'm just not seeing it). To want to lose that much from 160lbs gives you a target of 132lbs - is that realistic for your height???0

Ok thanks guys ! Think i was getting too far ahead of my self, goin to just take it as it comes. X0
