I’ve had this recipe for quite a while but finally made it tonight. Its soo good! Hubby did say it tasted like “diet cake” but for the 2 minutes it takes you to make it, try it yourself! I love carbs and chocolate (who doesn't?) and this hit the spot without leaving a guilty feeling behind.
Chocolate Mug Cake
2 tbsp whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 packets sweetener
1/8 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp egg whites
1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
Directions: mix dry ingredients together then add wet (last 2). Mix all ingredients together until concoction resembles chocolate cake batter. Place in a microwave safe mug, microwave on high for one minute. Remove from mug, either with spoon, or by simply tipping over and shaking. Serves 1.

I just entred the ingredients into sparkrecipes and here is what I got:
Calories: 108.5
Fat: 1.2g
Sodium 127.7mg
Potassium 213.3 mg
Carbs 17.5g
Fiber 3.9g
Sugar 3.2 g
Protein 13 g
I'm not including the vitamin info because seriously, who eats chocolate cake for the vitamins?!?!?! LOL I also calculate based on two egg whites, so if there is only one in the recipe, then the calories and protein will be less...so I haven't added it to the food database.
I cannot wait to try it! Thanks so much for posting!0 -
I'm going to try this in the morning.... I need to get in more calories without feeling guilty about my choices. This will get that chocolate fix under control I'm sure. Thanks for sharing0

103 calories, 1.9 grams of fat, 2.2 grams of fiber. An “A” grade rating (caloriecount.about.com) because its low in cholesterol, high in iron, high in phosphorus, very high in selenium and high in thiamin.
When I added it here as a meal I got 108 calories, 1 gram of fat and 5 grams of fiber which is better but I counted the WW points from the first set of nutritional information.
I used just 2 tbsp of egg whites (egg beaters are ok as well). I know 1 egg white = 2 tbsp but I just used 2 tbsp total.
Thanks everyone for the bumps!0 -
