I like smoothies with protein powder in the summer and oats in the winter. My morning snack is almost always 2 hard-boiled egg whites. Lunch is usually deli meat sandwich (or on a salad). I'm way over in protein every day, but like many others, I feel the protein and fiber macros are auto-set too low.0

silly question but I have a hard time separating the yolk from an egg to cook the egg white only. Will the protein etc be the same if I boil an egg and then just eat the white part?0

For breakfast.....eggs and cottage cheese. Doesn't sound right, I know,.....but adding cottage cheese makes THE fluffiest eggs. I like spinach....so what I like to do is put some butter in a frying pan, toss in about a cup of fresh spinach, squishing out all of the moisture (or your eggs will be soggy), then adding 1-2 tablespoons of cottage cheese and cracking in 3 eggs and scrambling in the pan. If you don't like spinach, you can add 1-2 tablespoons to 3 scrambled eggs (or eggs whites, whatever you like) and fry them up. The ratio is about 1-2 tablespoons for 2-3 eggs. If you add too much cottage cheese, your eggs will be runny and there will be liquid on the plate. Not tasty.
Also....I'm a huge fan of turkey and swiss. So I make turkey and swiss eggs by adding smoked deli turkey that I've cut into smaller pieces to my eggs and scrambling (I hate omelets) and sprinkling with cheese. I've never tried adding cottage cheese to this, but you could....just have to watch the calories.0 -
