Heavy lifting women!

Hi all... I have been around goal for a few years and lifting heavy, eating clean. I've stuck to the diet, but fell off the exercise a bit. With a hectic schedule, I couldn't get to the gym enough and started running a lot. I have definitely lost some strength, and am going back to the routines hard core. I am stocked at home now with kettlebells, dumbells, bench, and more... so no more holding me back if I can't get to the gym because of the kids or the schedule.

I would love to see some diaries, and talk about current weight training routines!

I work out at home as well. Started Jamie Eason's LiveFit strength training program, but have to switch out some of the exercises that require machines. Feel free to add me :)

I also workout at home. I have a bench, a bar that goes to 120 and a rack. My husband is going to get me an actual Olympic 45 pound bar (mine is a three piece 30 pounder) soon so I can up my deadlifts! I'm currently doing a sort of modified 5x5 program. It's not really stronglifts, but I like the split and exercises I was doing, so I kep it, but upped my weight and lowered my reps. M and Th I run, it used to be a mile, I'm trying to up my time spent running, so going a bit slower, but I'm getting there, and I do upper body, bench, bent over rows, overhead press and shrugs. T & F is lower body and core, deadlifts and squats and a core video, then some sort of cardio video, I'm enjoying some good, short interval ones right now. I was doing leg extensions as well, but my left knee tweaks bad on squats, so I'm giving up extensions since I know they can be not great for knees since I cannot bring myself to give up squats! I'm thinking I'll add in some calf raises, maybe some lunges, although, again, I worry about my knee. Wednesday is pure cardio, today I did a boot camp video. I do some yoga or good, dedicated stretching almost every day as I can fit it in. I someimtes hit the treadmill in the evenings, and one night a week my kids have gymnastics, so I do the elliptcal at their gym while they're in class (and I get to see them better than if I was in the lobby sometimes!). Weekends are for rest unless I get restless and do something.

I have adjustable dumbbells at home that I can use on weekends or when my kids are sick (as they've been since Friday).

    My home routine is:

    Pile Squats
    Lunges
    Push-ups
Dumbbell rows, on the couch since I don't have a bench.
    Dumbbell shoulder press
    bicep curls
    tricep extensions.

I've heard great things about Jamie Eason. Just was looking over the site. Going to give it a go starting Monday.

Good stuff ladies! I'm excited about incorporating more at home. I did the Jamie Eason Liv fit twice! The program is awesome... that was really my turning point. Modifying it for home is exactly where I am planning to start!
