Herbalife issues

SO, a friend of mine has had tremendous results using Herbalife, so she started selling it. Seeing her results I bought a few supplements (total control, cell-u-loss, cell activator & multivitamin) & the tea (that is supposed to burn calories just by drinking it).
Since starting the regimen last Thursday I haven't slept a full night's sleep.
I have played around with taking the total control (as I figure this is the one causing the sleeplessness) at certain times. I took it yesterday with breakfast & then again around 11am & STILL didn't sleep last night.
It's a shame because this stuff wasn't cheap. The total control makes my workouts AWESOME, but it's hardly worth it if I can't sleep. When I don't sleep I dont want to work out the next day & it's so much harder to control cravings when you're so tired (not to mention everyone at work has noticed that I'm having a hard time focusing)
I have googled every product along with "insomnia" "sleeplessness", etc.. but all that comes up is information on Herbalife's sleeping pills (btw, I took 2 melatonin last night & STILL didn't sleep well)

Has anyone else experienced this to such a degree? Could the other supplements be causing this not just the total control or tea? I cannot find one bad review on google about herbalife & my friend/ "dealer" is totally shocked that I'm having these side effects

Probably a ton of caffeine in the tea...

Watch the tea. . .it's jacked up with caffeine. Too late in the day and you may have found your culprit. I tried the tea for convenience. . .no more. And. . .for my sensibilities. . .Herbalife is Mary Kay with supplements instead of cosmetics. Not my #1 source for health and nutrition info/products!!

I've tried the Herbalife meal replacement stuff they serve and have had questionable results. The ingredients on the list seem to be somewhat flaky. I would definitely research all the ingredients in this collection of stuff you are taking.

I would also suggest to stop taking everything and see if your conditions get better. If they do and you want to continue using Herbalife then try one thing at a time and see. All I see these as are just energy uppers that don't essentially "help".

Herbalife is also a major company that can pay to have more reviews pushed through several sights before you finding a negative review. Corporatism does this.

I tried Herbalife too. I had really, really good results and as soon as I stopped taking it, the weight I had lost came back. This is something you have to plan on using forever otherwise it's a waste of time. The tea did have me super jittery and it is super expensive.

I was on that product a long time ago and it does work. Im going to say that its the tea, I never could drink that. I like the Thermo bond, cell u loss and the shake. When I was on it I was on the biggest weight loss Pkg that they sold, around 260.00 a month. I kept it off for a long time and started selling it myself. I will say that you can lose weight with out it and really dont need it.

Thanks, guys! I'm going to stop taking the tea & total control except for first thing in the morning & see if that helps
  • I love the tea but it will keep you up. If your still having issues with sleep by pass the melatonin drink a cup of chamomille tea. Hope this helps. GOD BLESS

Nice necro. I've been on MFP for about a year and a half, so this is before my time. It's neat to see an MLM thread not get torn to shreds. Things were so strange in the long-long-ago.
