My mom is obese and walks with a walker or cane because she needs her hip replaced. She goes on and off of exercise spurts but never goes down more than twenty pounds before stopping and gaining it back. I am going to show her your story, I hope she get's some inspiration from it!

I stared my weight loss journey last April, my surgeon wanted me to lose 60 pounds before he would do the surgery. I have lost 76 pounds so far and when I went in today to set up the surgery I had new x-rays taken. They showed that because of my weight loss I now have space between my bones I'm no longer bone on bone, and the synvisc shots should now relief my pain.
I'm so proud of all the health benefits I given myself by lossing weight I don't have to take medication for diabetes anymore I feel so energetic and have more confidence.
I plan on losing another 20 or so pounds can't wait to see what that brings

Congratulations! Thats the best news!
Please update us on the Synvisc injection - I would sure like to know if it works for you.
With stage 3-4 osteoarthris I have very little cartlidge remaining and a kneecap that has shifted northeast - I am at a crossroads of a fourth knee surgery or the Synvisc injection. I cannot do the surgery due to CRPS nerve condition that may spread. Which is a horrible pain in my arm. So I am debating on the Synvisc injection. Please let me know how painful and helpful it is.
