What kept you motivated through the journey

I'm only 2 months into my journey and I feel so good. This will be a permanent change for me.0

Doing it for my kids, especially when I get reports from the doctor like "your liver levels are too high, and you're lucky there's no structural damage...yet". :frown:
Another great motivator is this site - I like to read about what motivates others (like this thread) and that helps me press on.0 -
Never go back ... only move forward. There's nothing back there for me.0

I have been on MFP for only a couple of weeks and have just now gotten serious in the past week. Something just clicked. I have struggled with my weight for the past 6 years (every since the birth of my first daughter) and have never been able to stick to anything. My kids are for sure my motivation, but more than that, I have finally just realized, and believe it to be true, that I AM capable of losing this weight. It is up to me, and only I can do it for myself. I have finally just decided that I do REALLY want this and my motivation during the times that I want to quit is thinking about this summer and how GOOD it will feel to know that I didn't waste another second failing, but that I actually did something about it and I know that that will feel amazing...I'm ready to be happy, self confidant, and full of energy again!! )0

My motivation is my size 6 dress and clothes the wait in the closet for me, that I once wore that I cant wait to get back in. I am a size 10 now. My real motivation is feeling good inside and out being active and being healthy and being able to be active with my husband and teenagers.0

My current lack of confidence and low self esteem, I wanna feel good about me and get excited about how I look like I used to. Those feelings just aren't there anymore.0

I'm at the very beginning, but each successful day motivates me to get up and do it again the next. Someone said fear of screwing up the hard work you've put in and I'm definitely finding that to be true!0

There's a point in your diet when you eat healthy, then bad, then good, then bad. It's becomes irritating, working your *kitten* off for one week and throwing it away the next. That's how I usually stay on track to not mess up the work I did before. I mean stuff like family, healthy, looking fit is always a motivator, but knowing that your not screwing yourself up is what continues to motivate me.
This! Especially since I know perfectly well I could undo 15 months of hard work in less than half a year if I went back to my old life.0 -
