I find people offensive who find words in the English language offensive. Officially offended.

I don't like the negative attitude he/she has toward the subject. It makes him/her seem egotistical actually.

I agree that you shouldn't worry what other people are doing, but you can pretend they are invisible.. it's way easier. It doesn't have to be "fck all yall!"

There's actually a lot of great people at the gym and in the world who you would otherwise think are dipholes. If you get into the mindset of everyone being out to get you, you won't look as pretty. The truth is, most people don't care you exist. The few that do have crap to spew probably do that to everyone else too, not just to you on that particular time and day. So you just gotta smile and move on because it's not that serious. When you react with negative emotions, you make it serious. That stuff weighs on you over time.

I think everyone should meditate, walk in nature, observe the earth. It has a way of grounding you and making everything else seems petty. I lived a long time with a chip on my shoulder and it only created ill effects on my body. Now I would rather choose to be positive even if I have to fake it. At the end of the day no one really cares or remembers anything so why should you cling to anything?

Wouldn't be bad if it hadn't been expressed in such offensive terms.

What does this have to do with the content? If you don't like it or find it offensive, don't read it. I am not much for foul language myself but I certainly don't feel the need to comment on someone else using on an internet forum. I recall you finding the "Ladies, shut up and listen" thread title offensive also. Have you considered the possiblity that you might be too easly offended?

Seriously this like 1000 times. Someone else on another thread was giving me grief earlier so i told her she should put on her big girl pants before coming to the forum. She didnt like that too much but whatever

Great training advise, if you are that great. Terrible life advice, unless of course you're an egomaniacal sociopath with huge narcissistic tendencies and an overwhelming overestimation of your personal worth to society. Not that you would care about society because you are too busy saying **** YOU to everyone.

Love the attitude. We're all surrounded by people who want to drag us down to their level; to be better than mediocre, you have to learn to blow them off.

I think the language is a generational thing.

Some of us older folks were raised during a time when Lucy & Ricky slept in twin beds and the f-word was rarely heard and, then usually only in school by the trashy kids.

Today, it's commonly used as an adjective by the 20- and 30-somethings, as common as the older generation using words like "awesome" or "groovy". For those of us who are older, it does take a little getting used to ... especially when I'm in a fast-food restaurant with my aging mother.

I've since learned that there is nothing I can do about it. Why? Because young people these days have an f-it attitude and it's all about them. If others are offended, f-em.

That means this guy should continue doing this? Not sure I agree with the "Hurr durr I do what I want and I'm going to continue to do it, even if you advise me that I could seriously injure myself."

First, let them. You'd be amazed at how much reality the first injury can hammer into someone. "If you've never been injured, you've never lifted a damned thing" is basically how I see it anyway.

Second, this picture gets a bad rap for the wrong reasons. Unless the guy who is spotting him is weak as piss, it's not like he's gonna eat the barbell if he falls. Any grown man should be able to catch 135 pounds with little problem. Worst case, the dude will bruise his *kitten*, his ego, and bounce his head off of the floor when he falls. I've seen people take far worse than that from falling off of a bike...I guess we should stop doing that too.

He also fully accepted the risks of squatting on a ball when he decided it was a good idea to do. Its his life he can do what he wants.

Also really dig Jamie Lewis' attitude. And i think everyone would benefit from being a little more egotistical in their lives.

Then can i tell you to stop running marathons as distance running accumulates more long-term serious injuries than just about any other sport. Ask the knee and hip replacement specialists and the cardiologists.

your so awesome!!! i LOVE that!! But i do have to agree, time and a place! i swear anywhere near my grandmother and she smacks me upside my head with a "HERE NOW!!" .... wtf does "HERE NOW" even mean!? ... i have an awful potty mouth, i TRY and watch it around children n the old folk lol... other then that, im not worried...

i will admit tho, that i do enjoy reading these overly sensitive cry babies get all in a tivey over an F-bomb here n there... Stop causin a panic over an F-Word and go feed a hungry child.

I think about half of you are missing the point... probably the same half that blame the media for women's low self esteem and believe that some people just can't lose weight.

If people would stop worrying so damn much about what the next guy or girl is doing and apply that effort to their own fitness and nutrition, hell, their own lives, they'd probably be a lot happier. I'm not saying don't emulate someone, but stop trying to keep up with the Jones's or stop *****ing about how much better the Jones's are than you and get out and do something about your own circumstances.

Guess what, the language is NOT a generational thing. I work with guys 30-40 years older than me and they all curse like sailors.
