PCOS can be such a pain. I too have pcos and a hypothyroidism to boot....but since Sept 2012 I have lost over 60 pounds. It was a lot of hard work and finding what works
Congrats on your weight loss I know how hard it is with PCOS0 -
Hi!!
I have been diagnosed with pcos by an endocrinologist after putting on a TONNE of weight. I am really depressed about the diagnosis, it all seemed helpless, but your post has really inspired me, that all is not lost.
My specialist suggest i start counting calories on this site. SO does PCOS mean we find it harder to lose weight? I dont know much about it yet.
You look amazing.0 -

You look amazing.
While PCOS can definitely make losing weight more difficult, it isn't a lost cause. It can only be used as an /excuse/ to not try. If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish any goal you set your mind to. You just need to find the right routine that works for you and just stick to it. You might not absolutely SHED weight like crazy, like other people without the disease seem to, but you will most definitely reach your goals as long as you don't give up. I definitely don't lose consistently week to week, some weeks I even gain even if I try my hardest, it disheartens a lot of people but it's better to get to your goals a little slower than to never get there at all. While it isn't a good thing to be diagnosed with ANY chronic disease, it definitely tests your willpower, but everyone has it in them. It's just whether or not you choose to use it to its full potential.
Edit: Also to add, it's also helpful to either count your carb levels or to choose a low GI diet to keep your blood sugar steady. Calorie counting doesn't always work well for women with PCOS, but it may, it all depends on you.0 -
And thank you guys so much! You are all so great! :flowerforyou:0
