Eating at Disney

Ok I finally hit ten pounds lost and now we are going to Disney World for the weekend. I can not log in my meals so I am hoping this doesn't throw me off. We will be walking all day so that will help. I know the quick serve places offer fruits and salads but does anyone know of any other specific places in Disney that offer low cal food options? Thank you!

We pack our lunches/snacks and bring them in with us, in a bag. They cannot stop you from bringing your own food into the parks due to special diets/allergies, etc. I pack yogurt, fruit, hummus, veggies, and make healthy sandwiches. - Have fun!!0

I love Disney! I was there 5 times last year! Anyway. while I can't think of specifics, you can always look for appetizers instead of a full meal. Also keep in mind you will be walking a lot and you won't have food around to snack on like you would at home. I've even lost weight after a week at Disney and, believe me, I don't deprive myself of what I want (Beer Cheese Soup and pretzel bread at Le Cellier anyone?). Just don't jump on the scale right after you get home. Give your body some time to get rid of all that sodium that you will get from eating out so much causing some definite water weight gain.
Other than that, have fun and don't stress about it. You know what good habits you have picked up and how to make the smarter choices on foods. You've got this!0 -
Oh the bringing in your own snacks is a good idea. Unfortunately I will have to wait until next time to remember that tip. I do agree with Lisa in that I toohave never gained weight from a trip to Disney, but since I am trying to change my lifestyle and not just diet, I want to learn ways to eat healthier while on vacation too. Thanks for the ideas0

Although the food is expensive, there are TONS of healthy choices at Disneyland. My husband and I went at least twice a week with our annual passes when we lived in SoCal.
I don't see why Disney World would be any different.
There are fresh fruit stands everywhere, and we never ate a bad meal at the park. The food is absolutely wonderful, and there are so many great healthy choices.
If you are concerned about $$$, like others said, they will allow you to bring your own food into the park.
We moved to Raleigh last May, and I really miss our Disney days...0
