$150 or so, mostly depends on how much I spend on meats, the rest is fairly inexpensive

I spend about $50 per week. I make a weekly meal plan and actually eat the same things every day for that week (that has never bothered me, never really get bored). I actually prep and pre-cook a lot of the elements of my meal plans after shopping so everything is organized, packaged and ready to go each day. It's kinda crazy, but it works for me.

I usually spend about $50/week on groceries. I stock up on chicken and fish when it's on sale, then freeze it. Most of my food budget is due to eating primarily all-natural and organic, just a personal preference of mine.

I maintain a vegan diet 95% of the time, about $40-$60 a week on grocery. Mostly fruits and veggies and whole grains and natural nuts/nut butters.

Around $400 a month (on all food expenditures). I mainly cook for myself, take lunch every day and on average eat out around once a week at (for her) cheapish places. I'm vegetarian so no meat.

Sounds a lot and it is, but I'm in Tokyo and I eat pretty good quality stuff (fruits and veg are great here but not cheap). It would be much less if I pre-prepared meals (very popular here) but I'd feel like crap.

I usually spend around $100-$150/month on groceries. I try to stock up on things I like when they're on sale and freeze them until needed. And I make a meal big enough for 4-6 people and freeze portions or eat leftovers for like, 6 days.

This is pretty much me, but about every other month I stock up at Costco, chicken breast, organic frozen veggies, oatmeal, quinoa, etc. I can spend over $100 easily on these trips

Wow I mujst be doing something wrong! I spend at least $100/ week on groceries! Looks like I need to meal plan better. I do try to buy all organic food though. Any suggestions? Is costco the way to go?

I don't live anywhere near a costco and hate shopping at walmart. I shop 1-2 times a month at Kroger where I stock up on things like coffee and less common produce. Otherwise I shop at my smaller neighborhood market. The meats there are much better. From there I tend to buy larger cuts of meat and portion out and freeze. Double -wrapped to protect against freezer burn.

If I'm strictly buying food from the grocery store and not eating out then I'm probably spending about $200-300 a month on food, mainly because I buy mostly organic foods (and free-from meat products) so it gets a little pricey, but I'm good for it :D

Coped from the "How much does your diet really cost"-thread.

This is for my shop this week, it's fairly typical though usually I'd buy less sweet snacks. It will last me a bit over a week so total cost for 1 week is around £35. I don't buy coffee/lunches/take-aways on a regular basis so this accounts for all food on average. Over the course of a month we can probably add a bag of coffee (£3), some spices/herbs (£2) and some butter/oil (£3).

    Eggs: £3.50 total
    2x 6 pack Happy eggs £3.50

    Meat: £8 total

    Carver ham 200 g (5 slices) £2

    Food cupboard: £3 total
    Chopped tomatoes 4x400g £2
    Wholewheat lasagne 250g (5 servings) 50p
    Wholewheat conchigele pasta 500 g (5 servings) 50p

    Oatmeal: £1.98 total
    Quaker oats 1kg (20 servings) £1.98

    Snacks: £9.60 total
Kallo wholegrain ricecakes 1 cylinder 90p
    Snack a jack caramel/chocolate chip ricecakes 2 cylinders £3
    Caramelised onion hummus £1
Milk chocolate cookies (in-store bakery) 5 cookies 90p
    Apple/mango juice £1.50
    Sesame bagels (4 bagels) £1
    Garlic bread £1.30

    Dairy: £12.80 total
Skimmed milk, usually 4 pints per week so 2x 89p (could bulk buy 4 pints/£1)
    Babybel cheese (8 cheeses) £2
    Activia yoghurts 2x4-pack £3
    Brie 200g £1
Reduced fat Creme fraiche 300 ml 90p
    Parmesan cheese 200g £3.20
    Ricotta £1

    Fruit + veg: £13.04 total
    Pears £1
    Oranges £2.25
    Potaotes (2.5 kg) £2.20
    Spring onions 75p
    Broccoli £2
    Leeks 41p
    Carrots 89p
    Mangetout £1

Wow I must be doing something wrong. I usually spend about $80 - $120 a week at the grocery store.

Lots of fruits and veggies and bakery bread but there is usually a $15ish bottle of wine every week on that tab.

And protein powder and keurig K-cups ain't cheap!
