    No, I totally get what you mean. :-) Women's physiques are always scrutinized because of society's propensity to hyper sexualize and objectify us. That's why I can't bear to type my weight-- I've never been heavier.

    Well congrats on beginning at the beginning! I had the worst time taking baseline pictures of myself, even though I've been whittling away at myself for the past 5 weeks. I finally have made exercise a habit and deep down I know these pictures are for the greater good, but I hated looking at myself in just a sports bra and shorts. I know in the coming months I'll be glad I did it though, and so will you. :-)

  • 5'4 and I wanted to get to that 140 mark too, but when I went to the Dr. He said honey let's make that new goal even better let's change it too 170 lbs. Now I am gain, no pain no gain.

    just to add CW goes up and down i know that i should not step on that darn scale every morning but I can't help it I need to hide it from myself for a few weeks and see what happens then

    I'm 5:4 too!
    My ultimate goal weight is 140 but interim is about 147.
    I just want to get into the 140's!!
    I became a bit obsessed with weighing everyday,
    So I've put the scales away and I am going to try and hold of from weighing until Easter
    I've been exercising a lot and eating quite clean so I'm pretty excited to see the results!

    Very glad to run into this thread as I'm getting back on the wagon and also need a kick in the rear! I have similar stats:

    SW: 195
    CW: 189
    GW: 138

    I would like to start with some baby steps so I am focusing on losing 5 pounds at a time and making the necessary lifestyle changes to achieve that goal. I had previously done Weight Watchers with some success and found that the initial 10% goal was a great start too. Thinking about a really low goal weight is too daunting.

    I'd love some buddies too so please feel free to add me!
