Random unexpected boost :)

I have only been at this new healthy lifestyle for about 5 weeks, and I've lost roughly 5kg so far. I'm happy to go slow and be patient, and although I notice the difference I know I'm still on the big & chunky side. Today I was at a moving-house garage sale and the woman there was trying to sell as much stuff as she could. I was looking through some diet/weight loss/healthy eating-type books, and despite the fact she wanted to get rid of them she goes "ooh no, you don't need those! No way!"
It was just nice and unexpected, felt good to get noticed even though I'm nowhere near goal. :)

Has anyone else been caught off guard by the odd unexpected confidence boost/encouragement?

    Mine is walking faster and stronger! . I usually do about an hour over varied terrain. In the past I was pretty inconsistent about getting myself out the door and I would be puffing and limping along, but today I was striding along like a healthy person! It felt great. First time I have noticed it :bigsmile:

    So many people on MFP are super exercisers that I have felt like my little daily walks were useless, but I am gettting healthier, so that is all that matters to me:drinker:
