The t-shirt that doesn't cover a guy's arms and underneath the armpit there is no cloth all the way down to his stomach. Why do guys always wear these to the gym?? It looks ridiculous.
skinny bro's wear this because they think it makes them look bigger, like their tiny shoulders are suddenly visible. In reality, they just look skinny with zero definition on their sides and fat spilling over the top of their shorts. 98% of people wearing those look terrible. That is an actual statistic taken from years of observing bros in their natural habitats.
Yep....This^^0 -
I guarantee you, this is what he's thinking:
I know Wolverine, Samus, and Sonic, but I can't figure out who the others are... :grumble:0 -
Sweatpants and boner0

Jeans. Jeans just make me go WHAT?? every time. then there are the women who take their purses with them to the treadmill. PURSES. as in ..leave them in the car? Purses that weigh more than the Dumbbells they use in " tone & tighten" aka T & T class aka " the ladies class". The class I was kinda banned from when I suggested they try lifting some weights that weighed more than their purses. I was told that was MAN STUFF.
Me likes man stuff. Makes my lady stuff look good when I wear jeans ....0 -
The last "gym attire double-take" I did was right after the first of the year. Lots of new faces around the Y. There was a guy on the delt row machine wearing obviously brand new everything with the tags still on his Under Armour shirt and shorts.0

Oh! and then there is the dude who always wears a hoodie ..fully zipped with hood pulled down below his brows. Summer and winter. Always makes me wonder why or what he's hiding. Me? I'd trip over something sporting that look ...
Anyone know what's up with that ? unlike the bro who wears a too small tshirt that proclaims I AM A BEAST ...I really don't want to ask him what's up with that?? yep ..I asked BEAST where he got his T. he told me. Also told me they don't make " I am a BEAST " shirts smaller than XXL so I was out of luck. Ohhhh ..he just doesn't know the level of my smart-assery : ) a black sharpie and a Hanes medium will soon be meeting up0 -
Yes, there is a girl at my gym who wears uggs while lifting... uggs, baggy pants and a t-shirt.....
Welllllll ... At least Uggs are flat soled ( stable platform for lifting). Lol never considered rockin out my Uggs at the gym ; ) nor do I wear them with my pajamas to Walmart. I'm boring that way. I even wear a bra0 -
How about a wool sweater, and khakis on the elliptical? one of my faves. I get hot just looking at those people!0

I'd say I'm the oddest dressed guy in my gym. I am normally wearing whatever random t-shirt I find along with my short rugby shorts and my vibram 5 finger shoes. While the short shorts look odd when doing kettlebell swings short shorts are more comfortable than baggy crotch basketball shorts.0

I can't wait to get down to my goal of running two miles under 10 minutes...this will be my gift to self.0 -
My favorite of the week:
Hiking boots
Wool socks
Long sleeve camo t-shirt
Aqua marine bathing suit.
That is breathtakingly beautiful. I am wearing this at work right now.0 -
SVCat: Those socks are awesome!
Older ladies in dress slacks and sweaters on the recumbent bikes
cargo pants
appropriate gym attire, but enough cologne that people can smell it 15 feet away0 -

OMG those are awesome, I want some spiffy socks like that0 -
An older guy at the Y was doing the stair treadmill in tiny little gym shorts. They were high cut on the sides basically right up to the waist band. So as he climbed, the shorts flapped open and he wasn't wearing undies. The stair treadmill is tall and my crosstrainer was right next to it and I was afraid to look up because his frank and beans were being flashed with each step. Yikes.0

Anyone know what's up with that ?
I do know what's up with that! Or at least in one case. He's ADHD and wears it to block out extraneous sights/sounds so he can work out without getting distracted. Given the number complaints about old guys going commando, I'm starting to see the attraction.0 -
There is an older gentleman at my gym who wears dress shoes, khakis and a long sleeve button up every day. Like he just came from the office (he probably did, as I go at night usually) . He'll spend an hour+ on the treadmill. BUT, you know what, at least he's doing something! I give him props actually.0

Ahhhhh. Now THAT makes sense. he is very focused , keeps to himself, gets it done. I truly figured there had to be a reason ...0 -

It's when I see the 40+ woman in the matching Under Armor outfit that has full makeup and hair done that doesn't break a sweat and is constantly cougaring the guys. Now that's funny. It's not 1$ margarita night.
Hey thats all me!! LOL Well minus the under armor, hair done, no sweating and the cougaring...I would like a Margarita though! :drinker:  :laugh:0 -
I think that anyone who is working out in the gym is so far ahead of those not working out period. And if they want to wear what feels comfortable to them, then Kudos to them for being there no matter what. Just don't look if you don't want to see.0

That is actually me all the way. I am there for me and I really don't care about who's wearing what or doing what unless they try to bust in on my workout. At least they are there! I probably look like a sweaty mess when I leave the gym rockin' in my sweats and tshirts.0 -

Sweater vest!
Upper middle aged gentleman in legit dress pants, loafers, shirt, and sweater vest on the elliptical.
I guess it takes dedication to work out even when you forget the proper clothes? That's good?0 -
i always bring a good drink and a leer0
