Grilled cheese addict, here. You may become my favorite person if this is as good as it sounds.0
-
definitely on my list of things to make! i haven't had a grilled cheese in forever.. and bread and cheese are my weaknesses!0
-
I wonder how lite Laughing Cow cheese spread would taste? They have several flavors.0
-
My fav grilled cheese sammy is with cream styled corn, cayenne pepper and black pepper and sharp shred. Love it.0

If you use fat free cheese the cals are even lower. just sayin glad you got your fix though! great job!0

I've been making low cal grilled cheese for years. It's delicious... one of my favorites :-)0

Sounds good! I'm a little jealous of the products you have access to in the US. Here in Canada we have a more limited selection. The lowest calorie bread I can find is weight watchers TINY slices for 110 per 2 and half the time they are overweight so they are actually more like 60 each.I haven't been able to find that butter spray either :ohwell:
I'm in Canada too, and I use BodyWise from Dempster, at 50 calories a slice.0 -
I make mine with a slice of swiss cheese and thinly sliced apples. yummy.0

mmmm all these good ideas... i just had another one for a night snack. omg, im in love... i have not had grilled cheese in months, because i would rather use my daily calories on something else, since my regular cheese stuffed, huge bread, grilled cheese would come in at about 350-450 calories just for 1 depending on how i made it... but 135... hollaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i never knew i could make one so low cal and still tasting good... ive had a grilled cheese craving for a couple weeks now... I GOT MY FIX!!!0
-
ok, and since we are on the topic of yummy food for low cals... has anyone seen those huge chicken stuffed sausages stuffed with cheese and spinach at costco for 140 cal??? yum yum yum!!! i bought them yesterday... so freakin good!!!0

i just made an awesome grilled cheese, and it was so good, i decided to post about it!
sara lee wheat bread (45 cal per slice) 2 slices
sargento ultra thin cheddar cheese (45 cal per slice) 1 slice
i cant believe its not butter spray (0 cal)
<<<mustard>>> (0 cal)
omg it was awesome, and im really excited because what a filling snack for just 135 cals, or a great addition to a soup meal!
This sounds awesome!0 -
I love grilled cheese. We actually put jalapeno's on the cheese!. Sooo good!!0
-
I was just going to mention the jalapenos in the grilled cheese. Diced tomatoes would be good too (saw that on a cooking show).
The Sara Lee bread is a lifesaver calorie-wise. I'm not a big bread or sandwich eater (but don't let me near a baguette), although I do love peanut butter toast sometimes.0 -
Kraft Fat Free slices are 25 calories a piece.
I use Nature's Own honey wheat bread that is 40 calories a slice...
So...
2 slices of bread- 80 calories
2 slices of cheese- 50
Butter spray- 0 cals
130 calories with 2 slices of cheese. :-) YUMMY!0 -
i am a cheese fein....that sargento ultra thins slices saved my calorie count so many times! and the sara lee 45 cal. bread,0
