Every morning, I get up, pee, look in the mirror & say, "Don't eff ish up."

    Then I slap myself.

    Also, I'm more vulgar.

    Because I'm vulgar.

    Bwahahahaha!

"You can't out train a bad diet." I workout like a machine, then binge eat and eff it all up. I try to remind myself I'll never get where I want to be just with exercise, gotta eat right too.

"It's not about what you do ALL the time, it's about what you do MOST of the time". Meaning don't expect to be perfect every second of every day. If you slip up, get back on the horse and don't make you're slipups the new norm.

How about: I want to be like Dr. Who, and he is NEVER fat.

Or: I want to be the grandfather I never had.

This helps me on days when I feel like skipping workouts:

"I hated every minute of training but I said, "suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion"". Helps me focus on what I want long term

This helps me push through a particularly touch part of a workout:

Fourth quarter, fourth quarter, fourth quarter (as in no matter how hard this workout is, it's probably not going to be as tough as the fourth quarter in a game of sport). Reminds me if I put in the effort now it'll be a little bit easier later and helps me squeeze that extra % lift out of me.

    Swindoll on Attitude -

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.

    ^^^ NICE one!! Love it..

    What do I fear?
I fear stagnation and lack of progress.
I fear never reaching my potential and being average.
    I fear being forgotten...The Past...Yesterday's news.
I fear giving up and being passed by, going softly into that good night.
I fear letting those that I love down, letting myself down.
I fear settling, giving in to the "that's just the way it is" mindset.
I fear dying without leaving my mark.
I fear not feeling these fears anymore and just floating along. These fears feed me, they nourish my drive.
    I love my fear.

One Step FORWARD At A Time.

If It Is Hard, I'll DO It Hard...and SUCCEED!

When I was Younger I used to say, "I have more Time than money." NOW, Time is more fleeting and harder to hold than water in a sieve... Whatever you want to DO, DO it NOW! Tomorrow is NOT Promised.

"Baby Steps" has been my mantra since the day I joined MFP. So far, it has served me well.

Sometimes I have to remind myself, "Slow and steady wins the race, or at least allows me to reach the finish line."

I recently saw something on a friend's page that I love: "I am better than I was yesterday, but not as good as I'll be tomorrow."
