I am very very frustrated right now. I have been working out and eating right and done well so far but I have hit a wall. I am stuck and I have changed things and the number stays the same. Any help or encouragement would be greatly appreciated. :frown:

Your diary is closed, so how much do you eat? Exercise? Current weight and height? How long have you been stuck?0

I am in the same place right now. I would suggest measuring yourself though because while you might not be losing weight, you may be losing inches. To help burn the extra fat, I just started a new tactic of eating 100 grams of carbs for 3 straight days and 1 day normal carb intake. It's not low enough to make you crabby and is low enough to utilize the fat for burning as you workout because you do not have enough carbs to entirely fuel a 45-60 minute workout. I just started this today, so I'll let you know how it goes, but I am going to give it a try and see if I can lower my body fat %.0

Firstly, please open your diary so we can give better feedback!
And also, please answer the following:
1) When did you start?
2) How many calories are you eating daily?
3) What is your goal?
4) What is your workout regimen?0 -
Ya I'd up your protein and veggies and cut sugar/carbs/fat. All of those things should help. The Ideal Protein diet can also help you loose weight when stuck but it's an investment.0

I opened my diary sorry about that. I am 5'9 and I am at 198 right now. I started in Jan and I have lost 9 so far. I am upping my work out and I am working really hard to not eat allot of sugar ( having issues with Chocolate )0

So you lost 9 pounds in less than 2 months? How long have you been stuck?0
-
9 Lbs in 2 months is good...weight loss should be gradual. It's also not linear...how long have you been stuck? I have weeks where I don't lose and then, bang, I'll drop a couple Lbs...then weeks where I lose just a little tiny bit...then weeks with nothing again, and then bang...drop another 2-3 Lbs. It's not a linear event.0

That's an awesome weightloss! It took me about 5 months to lose 25 so that is really good! Keep it up and if you plateau for more than 3 weeks that's a sign that you need to change something. Right now I am 15 lbs from goal so it is harder to get there, so I am working on cutting the carbs to lower body fat and lean out my body overall. It's okay to be high on fats if you choose to lower carb intake, just make sure you don't go over more than 10 or 15 grams. Keep it up and it will come off. The beginning steps are where you see the sudden loss, then it gradually slows down as you body becomes more fit. You'll also find that weigh lifting will help greatly in torching fat. While it doesn't burn a ton of cals during the workout, it continues to burn cals after the workout more than a usually cardio session.0

That's exactly how my weightloss was. The weirdest part was the big 2-3lbs loss was after when I had a little over what my daily intake should have been. <---I meant to quote the guy directly above me. Oops.0

Make sure you are getting your heart rate up!! HIIT- HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING. Lift weights! Strength training then cardio. YOu will burn calories ALL DAY!.Cut out anything WHITE! No sugar, limit dairy (subs with almond, rice or soy) or alcohol. You must eat breakfast! 5 small meals a day. Portion control!!! Carbs should only only take up 1/3 of your diet and should be whole grain..lo sugar. Consume most of your calories before 6 p.m. And dark chocolate is ok..loaded with antioxidants. 2 oz. portions. It should be something to look forward to. Savor it! Hope this helps. BTW you are doing GREAT! do not feel discouraged!0
