Peel onion, slice into rings, mix Parmesan and flax seed together, dip onion into egg white, dip into parm/flax mix,
heat oil on a skillet until hot, cook until onion rings are crispy and light brown on both sides. I add a little bit of garlic to mine. ENJOY.

The thinner onions I cut tasted pretty good..the only issue I had was getting the flaxseed and parm to stay on the onion after I did the first batch..gonna try to find some alternative. but it was tasty.0

Yea, and maybe spray them with some olive oil Pam so they still get crispy? Less calories.

Oooh, yum! I LOVE onion rings but have avoided them while losing weight. This might be a way to enjoy them once in a while. Will have to try different methods of preparing. I like the idea of baking them, maybe with a light coating of extra virgin olive oil from the Misto.

replace the oil and the egg white with apple sauce, then bake. should work.
