MACBOOK PRO HELP!?

Hi, so about 2 weeks ago my laptop fell off my bed. It got a dent in the side and the screen cracked a little, but fortunately it was fine.

Fast forward to now, all of a sudden the fan on my Mac is constantly on, and the battery goes down pretty quickly. I don't know if this has anything to do with dropping it weeks ago, but is there anything I can do to fix the fan and battery problem?

I plan on taking it to the apple store, but I won't have time to do so until about 2 weeks from now, but I was just wondering if theres anything I could do. THANKS

battery is dying quickly because the fan is drawing power constantly.

fan comes on because the thermometer inside the case is saying that the CPU is getting too hot, OR the bent/crached case has pushed the power contacts of the fan close enough together that they're making a complete electrical connection.

Not something you can fix yourself unless you have a lot of skill. Plug the laptop in to keep the battery charged. That's about it until you get it repaired.
