Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie pack. You can do spicy or regular. I also do olive oil plus fresh squeezed lemon. If I put avocado in my salads I skip the dressing.0

Olive oil, salt and balsamic vinager.0

Marzetti Simply Dressed Balsamic! It's a little high in sodium, but SO good! 90 calories per 2 tbsp serving, and a little bit goes a long way. I never put 2 whole tablespoons of this dressing on my salad.0

some of you may think i'm nuts but i actually really like that Walden Farms zero calorie zero sugar zero carbs or fat stuff...... i buy it at Wild Oats, Sunflower Market or other stores like that......... the Balsamic Vinegrette and the Chipotle Ranch are quite tasty, the Chipotle Ranch is good for dipping veggies in too, I also add a few shakes of chipotle tobasco in it..........0

Mustard + honey + red wine vinigar = low calorie great tasting salad dressing. mix to taste
Non fat greek yogurt + garlic powder+ onion powder+ chives + dill weed + lemon juice concentrate= great ranch dressing substitute . Mix to taste , very easy to make tastes like real thing. Also good for dips0 -
I like to thin out hummus with a bit of water until you can drizzle it and use that as a salad dressing. It's really good, especially if you use different flavors of hummus. Also, if you're a fan of ranch dressing you can thin out fat free sour cream with some milk and season it with garlic powder, dill, salt and pepper and it's a really good substitute.
Great suggestions Thanks0 -
Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressing (in the refrigerated section at the grocery store). I really like the Ranch --- tastes almost the same as "regular" ranch to me, but only 45 cals.
i agree..! i use this dressing almost daily!!0 -
1 cup of plain greek yogurt, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1 packet of ranch dressing mix blended all together. I use this one for my husband, but i use guac or hummus on my salads now.0

My peruvian friend taught me this:
Tbsp of olive oil, 1/2 of a lime (juiced), 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp of garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Mix all together with a fork and drizzle over salad. Serves 2 people.
Yum!0 -
pomegranate vinaigrette is one of my favorites. If I can't have this as a dressing I do plain old oil and vinegar with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.0

Not everyone carries it, but Dorthy Lynch Fat Free is great if you like something like a slightly sweeter, lighter french style dressing.0

I make my own as well. Something like 1 part apple cider vinegar (or red wine vinegar), 3 parts apple cider vinegar and then I add whatever herbs sound good for the day. Sometimes I add lemon juice or mustard. If I am craving something closer to the ranch family, I mix in a tablespoon-ish of plain yogurt. YUM! Good luck.0

t marzettis fat free ranch, it only comes in packets and I haven't seen it anywhere but online but it's sooo good and the plus size to packets is no measuring0

I used to love this walnut raspberry low fat dressing at Whole Foods, but with all dressings I tried, the sugar content was so high. I have finally thrown in the towel and use only balsamic vinegar and black pepper. I will indulge and buy a really good one when my Cento and Progresso run out.
I really like the idea of the watered down hummus and the salsa as stated by other posters. I may actually try the hummus one.0 -
I make my own
2 tables spoons Red Wine Vinegar
juice of one lemon and one lime freshly squeezed
1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon of Worechester
2 cloves of garlic minced up
one pinch of sugar
5-8 grinds of Garlic Sea Salt grinder thingy
2 tablespoons of EVOO
4-6 basil leaves minced very tiny
a bit of cilantro minced up.
Whisk it all up. YUM!
This is about 3-4 servings and each serving is about 75 cal0 -
Annie's Lite Goddess is my favorite!!0

Annie's red pepper is only 60 calories per 2 TBSP and really good ( and organic). Most of Annies dressings are good and free of additives. Otherwise, i make my own.0

Huge fan of Bolthouse Farms - no sacrifice on flavor what-so-ever!!! I buy the Balsamic (30 cal, 2 tbs), Ranch & Honey Mustard (45 cal, 2 tbs) and LOVE all 30

My two go to dressings: Low fat sour cream + salsa for a southwest salad (lettuce, black beans, some corn, chicken strips)
or
My "Handful" salad:
1 handful romaine
1 handful spinach
sliced strawberries, craisins, sliced purple onions and chopped almonds. The dressing is 1/3 c. Splenda, 3 TB fresh lemon juice (that's about the amount you get from one lemon), a splash olive oil (maybe 1-2 tsp), and 2 TB apple cider vinegar. Makes a wonderful sweet/tangy dressing.
Enjoy your salad!0 -
Try using Balsamic vinegar flavored with fruit, there are basically no calories or oil or anything, it tastes a bit tart, but good. Someone showed me a bottle at wholefoods, and I'm hooked on it.0
-
For those of you who are using Olive Oil (even extra virgin Olive Oil) you should consider switching to something different. Olive oil is hugely calorific - switch to a low fat vinaigrette instead.0
-
Some good ideas here, bump for later!0
-
I use Lite Italian - only about 30 calories per serving (2 tbsp) and I love the way it tastes!0
-
The spray bottle salad dressings by wishbone hands down. All flavors. 10 calories.0
