I feel like i do really well with eating and excercising throughout the day and then i ruin it at night with bingeing and it is getting really old... and i get depressed because i just keep gaining weight!!! i need help. i just can't seem to stop the bingeing no matter what i do :( even if i don't binge before i go to bed, i will wake up in the middle of the night and binge and go back to sleep. it is rediculous and i am so sick of this. i'm sorry but i had to vent. i am so depressed and i won't even leave the house to go out with my friends because i am afraid they will see that i have gained almost 20 pounds in the last 4 months. i hate looking in the mirror and seeing this disgusting person and knowing that i could look different, if it weren't for all the bingeing. ugh i hate myself!!! sorry

Don't be so hard on yourself.

Just keep trying, you will get there.

Just love yourself and everything will fall into place.

Nighttime is my hardest, too. I have been talking myself out of eating for about 4 hours now. I drink coffee or water, or eat veggies instead. I think it's more boredom than hunger. I hope it gets better for you.

Not sure how you spread your meals out throughout the day but I find that doing 5-6 small, light meals instead of 3 largers ones can help with the binging urges.

Would it help you if you logged in something for the evening, say a couple of snack, air popped corn, even 4 cups or so doesn't add up very quickly, something else crunchy might help as well. Or you could have a yogurt with it? Just tossing out ideas, you of course know much more what you enjoy. Think of healthy foods that would be good to save as a snack for the evening to spread out your meals. If you know evening time is a tough time, that might really help you. Something like sliced up apple or cut up carrots, celery, peppers along with hummus will feel like a treat but is very healthy and beats chips any ole' day when you get the hang of it!:tongue:

    Good Luck,

I know that I tend to tell myself that if I just have one piece of candy or chocolate then my craving will be satisfied. If I eat plain milk chocolate, then it is. but if i have like a fun size butterfinger, i just want more and more and have a really hard time stopping. before I know it, i've eaten 4 or 5 butterfingers, then some peanut butter on toast, then some milk.

so a key is to find a treat that rewards you each night but that isn't so good that it makes you spiral out of control. popcorn is a really good one because you can eat a lot of it. i've found that airpopped popcorn (I oil pop it on the stove) with salt, pepper and lemon juice is actually a lot tastier than popcorn with butter.
