I eat mostly vegetarian, sometimes fish, and my partner doesn't like mushrooms. Nearly all our dinners naturally end up being under 500 calories, though they're probably not low-fat. Feel free to peruse my diary and ask for recipes.

Quinoa Black Bean Chili. Super delicious and filling. Here's the link to the recipe on my blog. I also have recipes for other vegetarian and seafood meals on there as well. Hope this helps!

Just seen you're in UK so have the same options as me.
Quorn fajita strips are really nice with salad and couscous instead of in wraps.
For a quick meal I'll do something like Batchelors savoury golden rice with sticky BBQ quorn fillets and salad.
Pretty much all my dinners are below 500 cals so if you want to add me for ideas feel free.0 -
Consider lentils as a side. Sometimes, I cook 'em long enough so that the mash up like re-fried beans and I flavor it with bullion. Pretty good side served with any meal and a good source of protein and fiber.0

I LOVE lentils. I make this Indian spiced lentils dish and I think it is absolutely awesome. http://versatilekitchen.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/dal-makhani-lentils-and-kidney-beans.html0
