Hello from a noob :)

I'd always been pretty fit and active until about 10 years ago when I had my son, I also ended up looking after my 2 elderly parents and a disabled husband. Ten years later, with both my parents deceased and my marriage over and I'm in a pretty bad way health/fitness wise. I've been both mentally and physically tired, so haven't done much more than sit around trying to rest. This, of course, has just made things worse. I've just had a routine blood test, which has flagged up high cholesterol and, as it will be my half century in a few weeks, I need to do something now before it's too late. My actual diet isn't too bad, as I've been a vegetarian for most of my life but, I will confess, it has become littered with convenience food.

Please feel free to add me, as I need as many kicks up the backside as I can get. Laziness appears to have become a very bad habit of mine. I love music of all kinds, from folk to punk, so a big part of my exercise will be jumping around to music again. I need things to be fun or I easily get bored and find excuses to do something else.

    I also recommend a channel on YouTube called Blogilates! It’s this woman who does exercise videos every week that you can do in the convenience of your own home! She even makes a special calendar for you with the exercises she recommends you to do every day! I do it and I love it, I hope you will too! :)
  • hi, I would love to have more friends on myfitness pal. My motivation is very high right now, my problem is always the same, after about a yr tops, I blow it, I just stop caring and eat whatever I want and regain 25 pounds or so! I think partly because I live in NJ and hate the Winter so much! I am going to look inot that Blogilates, Im always looking for new fun ways to get fit!
