My new favorite gadget.....
OXO JULIENNE PEELER!!!
I LOVE making "zucchini spaghetti" with this peeler!
Peel the zucchini into a bowl and then either microwave it for 2-3 minutes or gently warm it in a non-stick fry pan.
Top with your favorite spaghetti sauce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
A whole zucchini is less than 40 calories.....much less than an equal portion of pasta!
Cheers! Jo0 -

My KitchenAid stand mixer and my Cuisinart Food Processor!0

Nespresso machine
Olive pitter
Sharpening steel
Potato ricer
A little melamine cereal bowl that I microwave scrambled eggs in, it's the ONLY receptacle I can get them right in, when that eventually breaks I am doomed...0 -

Mine is a book, "I'm Just Here for the Food: Version 2" by Alton Brown (from Good Eats).

Actual kitchen item would have to be a sharp sturdy chef's knife and cutting board. I can make quick work of veggies and meats with a nice sharp knife.0 -

My favorite one is the kitchen robot. He can do anything! In no time i have sliced carrots or other healthy food. Also i enjoy my smoothie maker. Every day i start with a fruit or veggie smoothie.

My juicer! I recently have gotten into juicing and now I crave a green juice everyday!
My Green Juice Recipe:
Half a cucumber (or whole!)
1 granny smith apple
6 stalks of celery
1 in ginger root
a handful or 2 of spinach
a handful or 3 of kale
It's delicious!0 -

Another vote for the immersion blender. LOVE it. I have a similar one to the photo that was posted, with a mini food processor. It's a Cuisnart that I got at Costco for $30. One of the best kitchen gadget investments I've made.0

Wow! I left for my yoga class and came back to all of these great ideas! Thanks so much for sharing. I need to buy a new scale, so thanks for the suggestions.

Immersion Blender= BEST THING EVER
I second the immersion blender! I make a ton of soups and it is a lifesaver0 -
is it to be used in the kitchen too????0
-
kitchen aid mixer. i can do without most gadgets, but when this thing is needed it's clearly needed.0
-
My garlic press! I buy the organic pre-peeled garlic cloves, smash em with the press, and put it in EVERYTHING I cook! My boyfriend and I easily eat a clove a day, but it's so time consuming to chop/dice that I wouldn't otherwise.0

Loves my stick blender....but the Breville juicer is the bomb too.0
-
Really no faves but I am getting one of those handheld blenders this weekend. I love smoothies but hate cleaning the blender.0

Gasp! I could no more pick a favorite child... Ok really its my stand mixer currently. Oh and the baby is my favorite currently sometimes the 4 yr old but never the teenagers. Grumpy creatures they are.0

I love kitchen gadgets. My favorite is always whatever I bought most recently.... most recent purchase was a cast iron skillet....love it! My stick blender is a favorite too. And my ninjas....and. and. And.....lol0
-
My Ninja blender/food processor. Love making my own almond and hazelnut butter0

The Sous Vide I got for christmas! It makes even normally tough but really lean meat like eye of round roast REALLLY tender-like a good expensive steak without the fat. Chicken breasts come out great too-really moist and tender. If I wasn't trying to lose weight I would have this thing loaded and cooking all the time.....:happy:0

Aside from my Keurig coffee maker (which they will have to pry from my cold, dead hands...I love this nifty spiral slicer I bought. It turns veggies like zucchini into these long curly pasta-like strands. I toss them in a skillet with some olive oil cooking spray and seasoning, sautee it up and use it instead of pasta. Very cool!0

The can opener? :indifferent: I hardly ever use my kitchen, but when I do, that's normally what I need. I don't have any gadgets in my kitchen.0
