Bahahaha! I swear it's like EVERYONE on earth forgot how to spell "lose"! I see it everywhere. Drives me nuts. That and the wrong use of words like their, there and they're. sigh...0 -

Maybe if we keep this post "bumped" for a good month or two, people will start spelling it right.0

Why did I never think to make this thread?0

Actually it's not a spelling issue. Loose and lose are both correctly spelled. It's a usage or grammar issue.0 -
Spell check?

Yup, it drives me crazy too. I do understand that some of us have English as a second language, but it still bugs me. Also, I'm pretty sure that lots of those people have English as a first language..... But one doesn't dare correct anyone or make a joke of it or it violates the site rules. I'm already licking my wounds from one reprimand; I don't want to risk another. LOL0

American spelling and English spelling are not always the same e.g. color versus colour so be just in your witch hunt ok ?0

This has absolutely nothing to do with American English vs. British English.0 -

Ok Ok, if the issue is spelling then what standard ? or is the thread just about lose vs loose ? if so I humbly concede0 -

True.
But I do believe it may assist in reducing apostrophe abuse.0 -
