What are the "good for you" foods that you detest?

I detest any bread BUT white bread, I have NEVER gotten used to eating brown bread, bread with bits in etc etc and believe me I have tried. Brown bread or, for that matter, any bread other than white always tastes so dry and cardboard-like - perhaps that's the idea, make it horrible and you cut it out of your daily intake LOL! (I do understand some people like it though!)
I detest tea or coffee without sugar - I got round this by using sweeteners. If I do not do this, it tastes like poison

I prefer brown bread, but I have notices some white bread being advertised as being made from whole grain, so maybe that is an option that will at least make it more healthy for you than regular white bread.
As for sweetener, I recently discovered something that means I put 1 packet of raw sugar in my medium coffee at Starbucks instead of 2 sugars and 2 splendas. and all that chocolate powder that I liked to add. Now, I have them add two pumps of sugar-free caramel syrup in my coffee. With a little milk or half and half, the syrup, a packet of sugar, and a dash of nutmeg, this is an excellent cup of coffee, and not nearly as much of a train wreck as my old style.
Edit, to actually answer the question:blushing:
I don't particularly care for artichokes, unless they are marinated, and that, of course, makes them much less healthy due to the fat and sodium. Don't care for crab much, but love other seafood and shrimp. Can't really think of anything I HATE. My problem isn't disliking healthy food, its LIKING everything TOOO much!!!:laugh:0 -
Cooked veggies. I will only eat green beans, corn, and spinach with vinegar. I will eat more veggies in their raw state, but still don't like quite a few of them.0

Watermelon makes me gag...I could never eat it. Wish I could though...0

Sourdough bread doesn't count as white bread btw.0

Onions, Peppers & Celery0

On what do you base that conclusion? I am just curious.0 -

I'm with you!! That's pretty much the only thing besisdes seafood for me. I love all other melons tho!0 -
I really dislike lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower. I can actually do without most vegetables, but I manage to at least eat plenty of spinach.0
-
I detest all "fresh fish" but if I have a huge dish of butter butter I love lobster and king crab legs..0
-
:ohwell: I hate cottage cheese. Always seemed more like something that came out of a goose to me...0

Here is the link yo a similar topic I posted a few hours ago: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/100003-i-hate-whole-wheat-multi-grain
I hope it helps!!0 -
I detest avacados, cooked spinach, yogurt, cheesecake and tea. yuk!!! OH wait! Cheesecake isn't good for you. HAHAHAHA0
-
And for the record, in relation to the thread, I hate almonds, tomatoes and mushroom! Mushrooms seem like they should have come out of a shell on the bottom of the ocean, all slimy and chewy like. *gag*0
-
I HATE yogurt, carrots, & raisins....GROSS! I've tried soooo hard to like yogurt, because it's so good for you...but I gag when I taste it! I also hate the consistency of jello & gummy things (gummy bears/worms, swedish fish, etc)0
-
Light beer...ok, it's not a food...but, I loves a good Sam Adams or margarita
Cannot get used to Zucchini or Salmon...I try and try...but, always have to choke it down0 -
most of them! lol.
No but seriously, i can not even force myself to eat most vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, radishes, beets, okra, any squash, tomatoes, etc. and no, it isn't just because i'm "spoiled". i've seriously tried... and failed. repeatedly.
oh how i long to one day eat salad like all the other lady grown ups!!!0 -
I pretty much like everything. Not a fan of avocados ... beets must be pickled, but I'm still not in love with them ... and while I like fresh pears, I think canned pears are revolting.
I can under no circumstance choke lamb down, but I don't know if that's "good for you" food or not. ...0 -
salads,
avacados
tomatoes
1% milk
cucumbers
artichokes
cottage cheese
blue cheese
feta cheese (don't know if feta or blue cheese is healty, i just know i hate it! lol)
organic peanut butter
brown rice
..............theres more, I just can't think of them right now.....I hate being so picky. haha.0 -
My big problem . . . I don't really hate anything . . . if I have to choose something I don't particularly like I guess it would be canned tuna. Since I don't use mayo it ends up tasting like a sawdust sandwich with lettuce on the occassion I forget to cook an alternative and resort to that for lunch. I still put a tsp of plain yogurt in it to give it some "structure" but it doesn't help much.
I absolutely LOVE peppers and all veggies . . . when I was a kid I would ask for an apple, carrot, or pepper instead of a chocolate bar . . . YES . . . Im odd and I love it!0 -
liver comes to mind right off the bat0

OH YEAH, how could I forget liver? That's nasty!0 -
I liver
Now carrots I hate... cooked, raw, etc. I used to hate broccoli and cauliflower, but discovered within the last few months that I will eat both of those if oven roasted with olive oil/garlic (but that's still the only way).
I like raw bell peppers, but my digestive system does NOT :noway: :noway: I can eat them cooked just fine, so not sure what the issue is there. :grumble:0 -

I also am a fruit & veggie eater (mostly veggies). I have never been a fan of chocolate, and TOM has to be in town for me to even get a craving for sweets. However, when my damn SIL is baking brownies and cookies all the time  (we are currently living with her), and I know I can't have them, I tend to start craving.0 -
Nothing less than 2% milk
Cottage cheese
Celery (ONLY w/ peanut butter)
This isn't a health food, but I absolutely :noway: cringe :noway: at the thought of whipped cream (tub or spray can). When I was little, the sight of it would make me gag.0 -
Greek yogurt, yucky. In fact any kind of plain yogurt. Life is to short.0
