Some help with daily calorie goal...

I've lost 11 lbs so far but I am still pretty fat lol 264 lbs. Anyway I have been jogging 5 days a week with an estimated calorie burn of 400 calories according to HRM on the treadmill (yes I put my weight in so I assumed it was pretty accurate. I also do a little weight routine while I am there.) I try to keep my heart rate above 160 when on treadmill and do cardio 35 mins a day for at least 4 days a week. I had customed my Fitness Pal so I loose 2 lbs a week. I was eating 1700 calories, working out, and "eating " what I worked out one day a week (cheat day kind of using the cals I accured while working out). So daily I would have an intake of aruond 1300 (except for one or two days). I hope that makes sense...this week I didn't loose anything and according to my calculations, I should have lost 1.6 pounds at least.
Anyway, so I changed my daily activity level to sedentary ( I am SAHM with a 7 month old) and now my calorie goal is at 1450, so if I work out and "bank" my calories for a day I go out to dinner or somethin, I would only be eating like 1050 calories a day (except for one day a week).
I'm pretty new to this, that seems pretty low to me. Any help? I am eating pretty clean and drinking water too.

By bank I'm assuming you mean not eating your exercise calories back? If so, eat them back! If 1450 is your calorie goal, you must eat that net. So if you lose the 400 calories via exercise..eat them back so you eat 1450 net. Does that make sense?0

Yes, that makes sense. So instead of saving my calories I "get" from exercises and using them all on one day-I should eat them daily according to my workouts? Should I have dropped my calorie goal from 1700 to 1450? I don't know how my activity level on a daily basis compares to other people so I have no idea whether I am sedentary or lightly active. Thanks!0

What babydiego87 said. The 1450 is for days you sit at a desk all day and don't do your cardio. There are hundreds (literally) of threads and discussions here that will help you relax about eating 1850 Cal on days you do 400 Cal of cardio. I've been tracking closely since early January and the system works. The only plateau I experienced was when I neglected to "eat back" the exercise. My advice is forget the banking and splurging. When you go out, eat as reasonably as you can (forget the bread and butter and go easy on the portion size) and live with a few days your bar graph shows a little red.0 -

Yes if you want the easy way to calculate calories, say you're sedentary and eat back your exercise. If you go with the more active total, some of the exercise is already accounted for (as if you were a mailman and weren't counting calories exerted walking around all day). Then you need to do the BMR and TDEE calculations, etc. Not worth the trouble IMO.0 -
Thanks, very helpful-0
