4 Weeks of Insanity Before & After Pics

When I started Insanity 4 weeks ago, I had no idea what I was getting into. The workouts are extremely difficult. I read a lot of reviews and I did a lot of research before purchasing the program. In those 4 weeks, I've watched guys at work who I would consider very physically fit quit the program because, "It's just too hard." I am not physically fit by any means, I've very over weight. I've also made a commitment to keep pushing after being told I would fail like everyone else who starts it and gives in, and I've pushed through 4 weeks, I can see and feel the difference in how my body is responding to the workouts. My resting heart rate has dropped, I recover much quicker, and I'm able to push myself harder and longer.
I've only dropped 1.3 pounds in that 4 weeks, but I've lost a total of 13.5 inches. I can see small changes, but my boyfriend is telling me the changes are huge. So without further ado... here they are.

Good job! And that's great that you shared the info about you NOT losing weight. Not many people realize that it happens like that many times, in addition to the fact that women and men lose weight differently. I'm in the same boat: I haven't started Insanity, but I changed my eating habits 5 weeks ago -- I haven't lost any weight, but I'm losing inches and can totally tell the difference in how my clothes fit and look on me.0

Thank you all so much. I was near tears yesterday when I stepped on the scale. I've been working harder than I have in my entire life, and I thought for sure I'd see at least a pound or two. Then I took my measurements and lost another 5.5 inches all over, so I know it's working. I'm excited to see what the end result will be in 5 weeks.0

You can see a big difference, especially in your under arms. Congrats!0

Way to go! I'm in week 6 of Insanity now (just started month 2) and I've lost inches but very little weight (under 2 pounds). I can totally see some changes in my body though. Congrats on committing to Insanity!!0

That's FANTASTIC!!!!! Be thankful that your weight is down. I started working out and gained 10 pounds of muscle. Trust me, trying to justify that while looking at the scale is nearly an impossible thing to do. You are way ahead of the game!!! Great job!!0

Great work! I can see it in your stomach and back! Keep it going, girl! :happy:0

What a huge difference in your stomach! Great job!!!0
-
You did that in only 4 weeks? Very impressive,0

Great job!!! I've came to the same conclusion, SCREW THE SCALE!!! I'd rather have muscle and be toned then be 110lbs. I had a couple weeks of feeling defeated because not much weight was coming off. But like you said my clothes are fitting looser and I'm looking better. I think this longer process is the key to staying fit the rest of our lives. Keep up the great work your looking awesome!0

I am keeping my fingers crossed and will post what the results are. I am looking to loose weight but heck if i could loose inches too..that would be great. but I really want to loose the 20 pounds. good for you on your 4 weeks of insanity. Keep it up.0

Keep the faith sister. I was at a high weight of ~350 lbs. so I completely changed my ways of eating and just struck out one night and began walking. That's all, just slow steady Zone 1 walking every day. After about a year I got down to a bit below 300. I was still far too out of shape to pass the P90X Minimum Requirements but a friend suggested I begin with the P90 program. I worked it exactly per instructions and by the end of that year I was down to 225. By then I was able to pass the P90X minimum requirements so I graduated to the program at last. To make a long story short. (Too late!) It is now 4 years later. I eventually bottomed out last November at 167 lbs. I had literally wasted too much as I had put myself into a severe catabolic state. So, for a Christmas present to myself, I hunted and found what I was told, was one of the best Personal Trainers in the business. He's very expensive but I figure this is not something I want to skimp on. So I hired him and he was able to put me in touch with a great nutritional coach whom I also hired. I am now back to a much more healthy 180-185 lbs. and my body fat index continues to slide and is now down from a high of 46% to; as of last week, 11.9%! I guess the moral here is that the term "Healthy Diet" is an oxymoron. There is no such thing. You simply have to change your eating habits to be made up of healthy nutrition. Once you do that and get plenty of exercise, you will shape up. The main key is perseverance which you have already proved you have. Keep up the great work and please keep us posted. Your progress is amazing, and I would like to point out that mine and your body type is identical. Height, weight, everything. Our legs, mid area, and arms are just identical. With that being said, what the scale has been saying to us is identical as well! In case you ever doubt yourself because of that number on the scale, just know that you are not alone because I have lost inches upon inches and only about 3 pounds since January 1st. Keep up the great work!0

I'll be your feeling great, keep it up!0
