New here, and in need of help

This is the first time I've ever but real effort into losing weight and getting healthy. I have Fibromyalgia and I am a 48 yr female. Wen I joined MFP I weighed 275 and I now weigh between 259-260 when I weigh in when I get up. So I am happy with my weight loss thus far. I am logging all my meals and snacks, and my exercise, and I have my log open to the public right now as I need some help. The last week/week and a half my weight has barely budged. Because of my Fibro I don't sleep well so my days normally don't start till noon, so I don't eat breakfast as others would. I have drastically changed my diet and am feeling better because of it. I do allow for the occasional treat, and on Saturdays we normal eat out. I am trying to get 60 ozs of water in thanks To MIO (yes I've read the debate) and I don't drink anything else except a medium Slurpee once a week as a special treat(I used to drink a large one EVERYDAY)
Can someone give me an idea why my weight loss has levelled off? Please remember I am a very new beginner at getting health and I have tried to log as accurately as I can but some might be a bit off. Looking forward to your help and ideas. I am open to suggestions just please keep in mind my health issues.

you always lose weight fast right off the bat, then it slows. weight is all about calories calories. its not an exact science, as everyday our body hormones and things fluctuate. dont weigh yourself everyday. its hard to see changes on a daily basis. Another thing is to make sure you are only eating and drinking within your calorie limit. I know mfp is set up to 'eat back' exercise calories, but that is a big mistake. as those calories are already calculated when you choose your activity level. this could be your problem. the thing is too, that we tend to over estimate the calories burned during exercise and under estimate what we eat.0

it's normal to level off...just keep working at it. A few things to keep in mind:
healthy weight loss is 1lb a week.
weigh yourself once a week, not every day, if the number not moving gets you discouraged.
Make sure you are logging everything you eat/drink and you're not going over your cal limit. Also, since you have lost quite a bit already (WELL DONE!!!!) you may need to recalculate your daily allowance...perhaps that is part of the issue?
if you exercise, try changing your routine. I have heard that can help.
if you eat back calories from exercise, make sure you have an accurate number. I don't trust the machines at the gym at all, and I do not want to over eat and gain weight, so I take the number it gives me, and cut that in half. Then I try not to eat back all of them anyway, but if I do, I'm probably not eating over.
Also, other things always mess up my weight loss, like hormone fluctuations...for example, when I am on my period I gain a bit of weight, it can be discouraging, but by the next week I am back down.
I hope some of these ideas help! good luck!0 -
Stick with it. It really works. I have lost 111 pounds in just a bit over a year following MFP guidelines. Best advice is to learn why it works and the science behind it.
Here is good info:

Thanks for the link! I can't figure out what my TDEE is though? I am not eating back any calories, and if I drink anything other than water I do record it.
I'm wondering though if because my day normally doesn't start till noon, and I usually go to bed around midnight-ish if that effects how many calories I should be consuming or how I lose weight?0 -
Sounds like you're hitting a plateau. After a regular routine of the same old, same old, we may need to change things up a little. Ct back on carbs or increase exercise, have smaller meals more frequently, etc. The Fibro doesn't help, but do try to keep moving. You can do it, just don't give up.0
