Jogging inside the house

Who else does this? I like to put my HRM on in the evening, watch television and just jog in place.
I run outside as well at least twice a week, but in the evening it's still too dark and I can't go out running anyway.
What are peoples thoughts on this? It's basically the same as running on a threadmill, only I decide my own place instead of the threadmill doing it for me...

    I do this too, now and then. :) You can definitely work out a sweat, even if you are just jogging in place. It's good for you!

    How many calories do you usually burn?
  • I have dont this also prior to beginning this program. I normally only do it for about 10 minutes and then I am DONE. :) and I was really serious about. I plan to do more as well as walking outside. How long do you jog and how many calories do you burn ?

    I think anything you can do to keep moving is great! MFP calls it Running (jogging) in place under Cardio and, yes, I do it, too!
  • I use my treadmill and stationary bike 90% of the time and it works for me besides you got to be safe at all times.

    That's a good idea for when it gets too dark to go running, I will try it next time :)

    I do this a lot too it's great to watch tv and burn calories. but have now switched to 30 day shred as it burns more calories for same amount of time. :)

    I often have long phone calls, so I sometimes do it when on the phone!

    I've done it last night... 5K in 30:52 minutes while watching Barefoot Contessa on tv haha! I burned 254 calories according to my HRM!
