I'm never making pre-packaged microwave popcorn again!!
I bought some regular popcorn kernels (Orville Redenbacher) and put 1/4 cup in a brown paper bag. I rolled the bag down and microwaved it for 2.5 minutes and it popped up amazingly!!! I used some zero calorie popcorn spray and made a super low fat snack that is awesome and tasty!!! There is a lot of talk lately about the packaging on the pre-packaged stuff and this totally takes that out of the equation!! If you need a tasty snack and don't want to go over on fat...try this!!

do you have to put anything else in the bag other then popcorn to make it pop?
How do you secure the bag close?0 -
Oh you are right...don't over-pop!! I just listen for the popping like I used to on the old microwave bags!0

Don't need to add anything...just roll the bag down and lay it on its back in the microwave!0

I've been doing this for awhile.. what's scary is...after you've been eating it this way for a few months, go back and eat one of the prepacked ones again and you'll be amazed how nasty they really are, and that our taste buds get used to it.0

Just get an air popper! I've been using one for like 10+ years, can't do without it!0
