Stop eating at least 3 hours before bed. Or 7pm.

Why? Does it impact weight loss? Is this true for everybody?

I usually try not to eat after 7 or 8 pm and its worked for me. I've noticed a difference on the days after I do eat later. Its always a gain.

I have Nocturnal Eating disorder. So it is best I get my food in by 8. It does matter if you get up out of a sound sleep and eat even if you count your calories. I don't burn squat while I am snoring.

I think that rule only applies to Mogwais.

    only follow this rule if

    1. you go to bed at 6pm
    2. you go to bed early and have trouble sleeping if you've eaten recently

people saying "oh well if i eat before bed i always gain the next morning" let me ask you something: have you taken your morning dump yet? :|

We eat dinner at 6:00 or after every night and then usually have some sort of snack before bed. I've lost almost 10 pounds since January and that's including many nights with a cookie topped with ice cream around 8:00 or 9:00.

It depends on what time you go to bed. I've read that you shouldn't eat 2-3 hours before bed.

    THIS

I like my food to be digested before I go to bed, however - if it gets to be a late night and I miss that schedule OH WELL! I am still going to eat :)

Meal Frequency holds no bearing whatsoever on Weight loss... If you have a problem sleeping on a full stomach then that is just personal preference to not eat then but for the rest of us that has no pending health issues that would cause problems then eat right up til bedtime.. I go to bed every night with a 500 calories snack and I don't believe it has caused me any issues with my weight loss.... Best of Luck....

"It's the calories you eat, not when you eat" is almost always true.

In my case, I couldn't meet my last little bit of goals without adding "when" to the "what". I did the no food after 7ish thing for about a month and met a goal I worked on for nearly 6 months.

Up until those last bits of BF%, it didn't matter one bit when I ate.

PS: I lost 120lbs of fat (and muscle) doing the "eat whenever" thing. I also fully attest to that for weight loss on a more macro level.
  • Thanks guys for all the replys and suggestions I am going to take the advice which most of you are all saying Thanks -chanel

You can eat any time. You can even eat in bad.

    That's how you get ants!
