I'm lactose intolerant and the only thing that really bothers me is regular milk and *gasp* ice cream. I friggin' love ice cream too. Booo.

Try So Delicious (if you like coconut). It's wonderful and dairy free! I love the fudge bars :)

I take Lactase enzyme when I eat my greek yogurt or have stomach issues. You can usually find them near the TUMs and other stomach medicine. There is usually Lactaid Brand and a generic.

If you take whey powder go for isolate, it is pretty much lactose-free.

For some bizarre reason I was in my mid forties when I suddenly became lactose intolerant. It started with regular milk and for the next couple years I could eat yogurt and a small amount of liquid milk. Now yogurt is bothering me. I hope it doesn't keep progressing until cheese does. Right now I can eat whatever amount of cheese I want but more than a couple tablespoons of Greek yogurt and I need the Lactaid. I seem to be able to manage a couple tablespoons of milk too but generally just don't risk it. I need to go get the giant Costco bottle of Lactaid since I'm able to live without milk but hate not having my yogurt.

I think you should try some and see what it does to you. Just choose a day you don't have to be anywhere just in case it isn't a happy experience.

  • I'm lactone intolerant, and the only yogurt I can eat is the one with lactase added. I've only seen that in one store, and I can't remember what it's called. Everyone is different. Maybe just try it and see what happens.

    LMAO, translation:

Well, I don't eat yogurt at all, but I figured Greek Yogurt has less lactose. Just thought I would ask. I have tasted Greek Yogurt a best friend of mine was eating so it's not about the taste. Taste DAMN GOOD, though!

    lol
