They won't hinder your weight loss as long as you make them fit into your calorie/macro goals for the day.

    this

    bananas are good for you

however I rarely eat them because my kids eat them all before I get a chance to

I used to be an often banana eater, when my kids did not eat them all first, but lately they have not agreed with me. It sucks because I like a banana for a snack.

Yep, same here. Blend one in with my protein every morning. Love 'em and I'm still losing.

I eat one pretty much every day because they're so cheap and great energy. So long as it fits into your daily calories you should be fine. I'd avoid anything processed and juices before I'd start avoiding whole fruits of any kind.

I know bananas are very high in potasium, you eat healthy , just look out for the sugar intake. Its like i had 1/3cp blueberries and 1/3 cup raspberries in my smoothie....so what.....we eat good food..
my mfp friends told me that to eat fruits is fine,bc it has natural sugar, added sugar is bad bad bad

Bananas are very good for you. Loaded with potassium and fiber. If you want to concern yourself with sugar, concern yourself with added/refined sugar. Fruit is fine, including bananas. I eat bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples, oranges...you name it and I've lost 25 Lbs.

I don't think there are too many people out there who got fat because of their fruit and veg.

bananas have a ton of sugar. I consider a banana with peanut butter a full meal.

I eat a banana every morning for breakfast with peanut butter. I'm doing quite well if I say so myself.

Edited to add: I also eat strawberries and clementines everyday. I love me some fruit.

Just put it in your mouth to get a taste and then take it back out if you are really craving one

    Do bananas hinder weight loss?

How many are you planning to eat? I hear that if you juice them first, you can pour them thru an old T-shirt and strain out the calories without actually removing any of the nutrition....

Like a plantain? Plantains are usually more girthy but I think you could get away with it, yes.

Hi! Bananas are not going to hinder your weight loss. The banana is full of potassium as well as other important nutrients and a natural sugar. Whole foods including fresh fruits and vegetables are the best way to achieve your weight loss goals. There is nothing ever wrong with eating fruits and vegetables, it's all in how you prepare them such as frying, that can be bad. I eat a banana every morning with a bowl of homemade oatmeal for breakfast and no problems here.

I have bananas everyday and I am losing weight. I also eat peanut butter every day and that is also said to be bad. At least I will be skinnier when I die, apparently.
