One week of fun?

fell off the wagon for about a week (but sooo worth it). I shall recover. Right? Ugh, if I gained some lbs back, I might cry. Not weighing my self this week for sure. Is one week of fun totally detrimental? I cant say I went totally nuts w/ the calories but went over my 1200 everyday for sure and got little "real" exercise. So again, can one F up for about a week and not be totally screwed?

I wouldn't worry. I do that too. Hang in there. Glad it was fun!

Did you have fun? Then don't worry about it. A few pounds may creep back, but you can shake them off and get back on track. Never know, you might have done your a metabolism a favor!

I think you can F up for a week and be okay. I went TOTALLY nuts with the calories for about 4 days in a row, plus another 3 that I was just not paying attention to counts...and weighed myself 2 days after getting back on the wagon and am "only" 1.25 lbs. up. I have an underactive thyroid, too, so I expected much worse.

I did the same thing. Friday-Monday I didn't log anything and only hit the gym one day. I don't know how I managed but I still lost a half pound. You need to be able to enjoy life with out the counting calories hanging over your head. You also might have had a lot of sodium in your diet and gained a lot of water weight. Give it a week of being back on track and you will make up for some of the weight you gained back.

my experience with that was it turned a week into two weeks and so on..... until I gained all my weight back except for 9 lbs, I believe if i would have been able to get back on track after a week i would have been ok in the long run. Instead it turned into a major disaster. I recently logged back on MFP and am losing again. I personally believe you can come back from a week, i came back from a year. Wishing you much success and have a great day :flowerforyou:

It was only one week! You can get back on the wagon and do it!

I give myself one day a week to go over. Usually it's our date night, where we go out for dinner, and watch movies... Don't hang your head, get back up and get on 'er!

Thanks for all the motivation and support!!!!! Im back on track!!!! (and that pesky time of the month was creeping up so that didnt help!). :-) I think whats key is what one of you said....dont let one week turn into another and another and another. And what another one of you said....I gatta give my self "time off" or I might get super grumpy about it! :-)
