    this baby right here.
The Kitchen Aid mixer used to be my favorite, but now that I'm watching my weight I've steered away from baking and don't use it.

    Current favorite kitchen gadgets:

    EatSmart Precision Elite Kitchen Scale
    Braun Immersion Blender
Microwave oven (I remember when my best friend's family was among the first in our neighborhood to get one!)
Electric griddle (great for making big batches of 4" pancakes to freeze for future use)
Boiled egg slicer (yes, I can slice with a knife, but I really like this thing. Last one broke and I had to get another)

Another thing that I loved until the motor burned out was a Salad Shooter. It was one of those As Seen on TV things that I got for a gift in the 80s. I should see if they still make them. I have a food processor, but it's a hassle to clean the darn thing and it takes up way too much room in the dishwasher.
  • Definitely a close tie, but my food scale followed by the crock pot, that thing's amazing!

Another vote for my food scale. I weigh EVERYTHING, I use it more than cutlery & crockery.

My scale (use every day) my slow cooker (use at least 4 times a week - uses less fat and turns tough meat into velvet), stick blender (yummy soup).

I have loads of Pampered Chef gadgets too (my oil spritzer got yucky so i threw it) - if I'm not using a slow cooker I'm using stoneware!

i can't even narrow it down to one:

    -kitchenaid mixer (and attachments!!)
    -blendtec blender

those babies right there and i can prep most anything

i've been zesting things a lot....so microplane? and investing in a nice chef's knife was crucial.

Not sure if it qualifies as a gadget but I love my cast iron Dutch oven. It's cheap no name stuff that my mother found in a thrift store but it works great. After seasoning it with veggie shortening on the grill for an hour or so, nothing sticks to it. It cleans up really easy with hot water and a scouring pad (never use soap on seasoned cast iron). It retains heat really good for searing meat and requires little to no oil for cooking.

I love mine too! I have one made by Le Creuset. One of my favorites to cook in.
    Misto--olive oil mister
And of course my trusty sommelier style corkscrew.

    Immersion Blender= BEST THING EVER

Agreed. Mine's a KitchenAid. Makes soups, sauces, smoothies sooooo much easier than using a blender.

I got one of these for Christmas, and I still haven't used it. I can't figure it out somehow...

My blender, without a doubt. I had a little panic when my old one died last week. I have smoothies or protein shakes almost every day for breakfast.

Question for the Kitchen air owner :-) Does it make smoothies smooth? I make mine with frozen blueberries and strawberries and often my ninja blender leaves lumps of frozen fruit...no matter how long I blend. I have totally stopped putting Kale in my smoothies because the ninja just chops them up a little. How is this for smoothies?

My favorite kitchen gadget is a COOK!!! I'd love to have one, but alas, it is not to be.

Otherwise, it would be my knives. I love them all so I really can't choose.

Oh wait...dang, I forgot about my DEHYDRATOR. It is totally an awesome thing to behold.
