40 yr old female looking for weight loss buddies

I began my weight-loss journey (again) last year as I was getting close to the big 4-0 and realized that I really enjoyed my life and want to live it as long as possible! I managed to lose about 55 pounds with WW .. but my motivation waned and I gained back 15 just before the New Year. With my hubby's encouragement, I decided to try MFP which I started in January. I've been doing to the gym off / on and trying to manage my caloric intake.. however, I haven't managed to lose more than 7 pounds. I would like to find some weight loss buddies to help push me forward on this challenging journey.

    Hello! I've just started - I'll be 40 at the end of the yearso I'm keen to look good and feel better. I want my hub to take me on a nice beach holiday (so I want to look "not bad" in a swimsuit - not expecting miracles!). We can support each other. You've done so well so far even if you did put a little bit back on. You've still lost a lot which is really good. Wish I could do that too!

    You know you can do this, since you've already had success. Just take it one day at a time and move on from your mistakes. Send a friend request if you want. Peer support is really helpful!! :o)

    I'm nearing 40 and on a mission to lose 80 pounds (so far I've lost 19 since mid-January)...please friend away...anyone! I know I can use all the encouragement I can get, and I try to stay positive for all of my buddies! :wink:

    I'm just starting out here at MFP but have done the yo yo thing for years. I would love to be friends with all of you on here. It sounds like we would be a great group to encourage each other.

    I'm 43 and looking to lose about 40 pounds or so. I'd like to look 1/2 decent this summer for a change instead of covering up with big baggy tshirts.

    I will be 42 this year. Mom to an almost 3 year old, so I need to stay as fit as possible to keep up with him. I don't have a lot to lose, but I still struggle with eating well and exercising as much as I should. Winter time makes it hard....all you want to do is eat comfort food and veg on the couch.     I am turning 45 this year. I have been on WW before too, but have managed to gain all of the weight back plus some friends. I restarted my weight loss journey on January 11 at 272 lbs and have lost 23 pounds so far. I have done it by tracking everything I eat, trying to eat at least 3 to 4 vegetables a day, eating more protein, and almost entirely cutting all fried foods, oils, mayonnaise, and butter (all trigger foods for my IBS) out of my diet. I also try to walk between 3-5 miles a day (I use a pedometer to track it) and just joined a gym. BTW: I still have a chocolate desert every night before I go to bed if I have calories available.

    I still have a lot to learn and have a long journey ahead of me, so I welcome all new friends.
